MAINTENANCE DRIVELINE TROUBLESHOOTING QUICK-DISCONNECT YOKE
AVOIDABLE DAMAGES
POSSIBLE CAUSES
CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
w Quick-disconnect pin tight or completely seized.
w Quick-disconnect pin dirty (insufficient maintenance). w Quick-disconnect pin defective (forced engagement, incorrect handling) w Excessive shaft length. w Axial loads too high.
w Clean, oil and follow service instructions. w Replace quick-disconnect pin. w Shorten shaft length (cut both telescopic tubes as well as shield and remove burrs). w Replace quick-disconnect pin. w Clean and grease telescopic tubes, and replace both tubes, if necessary. w Replace quick-disconnect pin.
w Quick-disconnect pin damaged (broken or bent) w Quick-disconnect pin damaged in the locking portion.
Note: Quick-disconnect pins must be cleaned and greased every 16 hours.

w Excessive shaft length. w Shorten shaft length (cut both telescopic tubes as well as w Axial loads too high. shields and remove burrs). w Excessive working angle w Replace defective yokes. and torque. w Clean and grease telescopic tubes, and replace both tubes, if necessary. w Replace defective yokes. w Verify compatibility between shaft and working conditions (torque vs. angle). w Disengage tractor driveline during cornering or when lifting or lowering the implement. w Change to a larger driveline size. w Replace defective yokes.
w Yoke ears distorted.

Yoke ears worn or pounded.
w Excessive working angle.
