1. Install the height sensor support bracket (A) on the planter main frame (C), with the U-bolt (D), and the nuts (B).

2. Position the height sensor shaft support (E) on the support bracket with the screws (F).

4. Install the arm (H), one of the O-rings (C), and the retaining ring (D) on the shaft support (E).

5. Install the remaining O-ring (C) in the contacting potentiometer (B). Then, install the assembly to the shaft support (B) and attach with the nuts (A).

Replacing Seed Tube Assembly

1. Remove MaxEmerge™ 5 seed meter.

3. Press together tabs (B) with your fingers until they come off the cast base and pull seed tube assembly (C) upward.

NOTE: For machines not equipped with Auteq™, the removal of the seed tube is the same, except that there will not be connectors to disconnect.

4. Insert the new seed tube (D) into the planting unit so that hook (F) attaches to the alignment pin (G).

2. If equipped with Auteq™, disconnect monitor-to-seed sensor wiring harness connector (A).

NOTE: Carry out again previous routing of sensor cables, securing them using tie straps to avoid loose cables along the line.

6. Install the seed meter.

7. Repeat procedure on all planting rows.

1. Position the planter main control unit (A) on the controller box with the screws (B).

2. Install and tighten nuts (C).

IMPORTANT: After have all the wiring harnesses correctly routed as indicated in this installation instruction, and connectors connected, calibrate the main planter control unit. Refer to Diagnostic Technical Manual.

It is possible to configure sections with row spacing smaller than 152 cm (60 in.), however, depending on GPS signal accuracy there may occur unexpected row activation (ON and OFF).

Unexpected activation may occur particularly at outer rows that are planting in parallel to previously planted area. To avoid unexpected row activation in this section we recommend RTK signal for row spacing smaller than 152 cm (60 in.).

IMPORTANT: If many RowCommand™ clutches are powered simultaneously, clutches engaged, there may occur a tractor Low Voltage warning due to limited alternator power output. If this occurs, reduce electrical load or increase engine speed.

2. Select button Next Screen (B) to continue RowCommand™ sections setup.

5. Change transmission rate for fertilizer metering (J) or for the seed metering (K) by putting chain on sprockets selected according to the metering rate chart. Align idler.

NOTE: On the planter, there are two separate sprockets (A3 and B3) to increase seed rate. These should be installed to final drive (A) and intermediate transmission (B) located next to the gear box (H).

6. Add rubber spacers to align sprockets.

7. Reposition the seed reduction sprocket (A1) and the fertilizer reduction sprocket (F), if necessary, and transfer chain to desired position.

8. Carry out the alteration to both transmissions of the machine.

Checking Fertilizer Rate The fertilizer tables were drawn up based on NPK pellet fertilizer, with good granulation, the formula of 05-20-20 and a specific weight of 1000 kg/m3.

For mixed fertilizers with a granulation approaching powder, the fertilizer quantities (kg) per hectare can be increased by approximately 20%.

Given that the metering mechanism for the fertilizer measures volume and not weight and due to the difference that exists between fertilizer brands and formulas, the measured weight may vary in comparison to that calculated through the table.

For this reason, it is important that the value calculated using the table is checked before starting to plant. This is performed in the following way: 1. After filling seed meters, remove one hose from one of the fertilizer boxes e place a plastic bag in its location.

2. Drive the planter over a distance of 50 m.

3. Remove the plastic bag and weigh it.

4. Multiply the weight in kg by the value from the table below, defined by the spacing between rows. The

result calculated like this will be the fertilizer weight spread per hectare.

With this figure, consult the table corresponding to the type of fertilizer metering auger that is used in your machine and select the pair of sprockets that provide a greater or lesser quantity, as required.

Repeat the test as many times as necessary, until the correct value is obtained.
