Safety rules WARNING Avoid injury!

Shut off the engine, remove the key, and make sure all machine motion stops before you service the machine.

Failure to comply could result in death or serious injury.

WARNING Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required.

When assembling, operating, or servicing the machine, wear protective clothing and PPE necessary for the particular procedure. Some PPE that may be necessary includes protective shoes, eye and/or face protection, hard hat, heavy gloves, filter mask, and hearing protection.

3 - GENERAL INFORMATION###_1_### Basic instructions PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE STARTING ASSEMBLY!

References to right-hand and left-hand are determined by standing at the rear of the machine and facing the direction of travel.

NOTE: When referring to the instructions for callout references, the numeric (example: (1)) refers to item (1) in the kit contents bill of materials. The letter (example: (A)) refers to the component on the unit, not a component in the kit contents bill of materials.

NOTICE: Do not tighten the hardware until instructed to in the assembly instructions.

NOTICE: Be sure to use the hardware specified when using tapped holes as trying to install a metric bolt in an inch thread or an inch bolt in a metric thread will damage the threads.

NOTE: Install flat washers over all slotted holes unless truss-head or carriage bolts are used. Install a lock washer on all bolts unless a jam nut or self-locking nut is specified.

NOTE: Install special hardened washers where specified.

Preparation Prepare the vehicle 1. Place the machine on a flat and level place.

2. Lower the bucket to the ground.

3. Put the safety lever in UNLOCK position (forward position).

4. Release the hydraulic pressure operating the control levers from right-hand to left-hand and front to rear a dozen times approximately.

5. Operate the travel levers from front to rear a dozen times approximately.

NOTE: this procedure does not completely release the pressure, so when operate on the hydraulic system, loosen the connections slowly and do not stand in the direction where the oil drains out.

6. Put the safety lever in LOCK position (backward position).

7. Stop the engine and remove the starter key.

Installation Removal of the standard seat belt 1. Use a inches wrench [11/16"] to remove the nut (A) and then remove the standard belt (B).

2. Use a inches wrench [11/16"] to remove the nut (C) and then remove the locking device (D) of the standard seat belt.

Installation of the 3 inches seat belt 1. Position on the left-hand side of the operator’s seat the new 3 in seat belt (1a) with the washers (2) and (4).

2. Use a inches wrench [11/16"] to tighten the screw (3).

Tighten the screw (3) to : 55.0 – 65.0 N·m (486.8 – 575.3 lb in)

1. Position on the right-hand side of the operator’s seat the new 3 in seat belt (1b) with the washers (2) and (4).

2. Use a inches wrench [11/16"] to tighten the screw (3).

Tighten the screw (3) to: 55.0 – 65.0 N·m (486.8 – 575.3 lb in)
