Preparation An “*” in this document indicates that the part is mounted on the actual machine.

Items to prepare: • Wrenches ( 10 mm, 13 mm, 17 mm, 19 mm, 22 mm, 27 mm, 36 mm, 41 mm) • Hexagon wrench ( 8 mm) • Phillips screwdriver (No. 3) • Cutters, scissors • Rag 1. Position the main unit.

• Put the main unit on solid, level ground, put the bucket cylinder at its open stroke end, the arm cylinder at its open stroke end, lower the boom, and touch the arm top to the ground.

2. Switch the ignition key (a) OFF, check that the engine has stopped, and then switch the ignition key ON again.

(Do not start the engine.)

3. Bleed out the pressure inside the circuit.

• Flip the lever (c) forward, and then turn the upper operation lever (b) about 10 times to bleed out the pressure.

• Move the travel lever (d) back and forth about 5 times to bleed out the pressure.

4. Bleed out the pressure from inside the hydraulic tank.

• Press the air breather button (e) on top of the hydraulic tank to release the pressure inside the tank.

Line assemblies (5) and (6) 1. Set the line assembly (left) (6) and line assembly (right) (5) on the boom.

2. Install the seating (11) with 2 sems bolts (2) on the boom.

Set the line assembly (left) (6) and line assembly (right) (5) on the pipe clamp (12), and then fasten with the high-strength bolt (13) and high-strength washer (14).

• Fasten the pipe clamp (12) at a position 175 mm (6.89 in) from the rear end of line assembly (left) (6) and 135 mm (5.31 in) from the end of line assembly (right) (5).

3. Install 1 plug (10) each on line assembly (left) (6) and line assembly (right) (5).

• Tightening torque: 142.35 lb ft)

4. Sandwich the line assembly (left) (6) with 2 pipe clamps (3), and then fasten with 2 sems bolts (2).

• Fasten the pipe clamp (3) at a position 188 mm (7.40 in) from the front end of the line assembly (left) (6).

Sandwich the line assembly (right) (5) with 2 pipe clamps (3), and then fasten with 2 sems bolts (2).

• Fasten the pipe clamp (3) at a position 188 mm (7.40 in) from the front end of the line assembly (right) (5).

5. Sandwich the line assembly (left) (6) with 4 pipe clamps (2), and then fasten with 2 sems bolts (*1).

Sandwich the line assembly (right) (5) with 2 pipe clamps (4), and then fasten with 2 sems bolts (*1).

Line assemblies (8) and (9) 1. Set the line assembly (left) (9).

2. Fasten the line assembly (left) (9) with the 1 pipe clamp (1) and the 2 sems bolts (2).

• Fasten the pipe clamp (1) at a position 100 mm (3.94 in) from the front end of the line assembly (left) (9).

3. Set the O-ring (7) on the rear end of the line assembly (left) (9), and then connect the line assembly (left) (6).

4. Set the O-ring (7) on the front end of the line assembly (left) (9), and then install the plug (15).

5. Install the line assembly (right) (8) in the same way as the line assembly (left) (9).

1. Install the shutoff valve (31) on the bracket (30) with 2 sems bolts (4).

• Adjust the set pressure for the relief valve of the shutoff valve (31) to match the type of attachment used.

Install the bracket (30) on the main unit frame (*1) with 2 sems bolts (4).

2. Install the 3-direction valve (10) on the bracket (32) with the 2 sems bolts (4). Install the bracket (32) on the main unit frame (*1) with 2 sems bolts (4).

4. Install the elbow (23) on the 3-direction valve (10) T2 port and connect the hydraulic hose (13).

5. Install the hose adapter (11) on the shutoff valve (31) B port.

Set the O-ring (2) on the shutoff valve (31) B port and connect the assembly hose (1/Y1).

• Tightening torque: 162 - 198 N•m (119 - 146 lb ft)

6. Set the O-ring (2) on the line (*2) and connect the assembly hose (1/Y1).

• Tightening torque: 162 - 198 N•m (119 - 146 lb ft)

7. Connect the hose adapter (11) to the 3-direction valve (10) A port.

Set the O-ring (2) on the 3-direction valve (10) A port and connect the assembly hose (1/Y2).

8. Set the O-ring (2) on the line (*3) and connect the assembly hose (1/Y2).

• Tightening torque: 162 - 198 N•m (119 - 146 lb ft) Fasten the assembly hoses (1/Y1) and (1/Y2) with 2 wire bands (3).

Adjust the hose fastening positions so that the distances between the assembly hoses (1/Y1), (1/Y2) and clamp (*4) are the dimensions shown below.

9. Install the bushing (21) on the shutoff valve (31) A port, then connect the elbow (20).

Set the O-ring (2) on the shutoff valve (31) A port and connect the assembly hose (18).

• Tightening torque: 162 - 198 N•m (119 - 146 lb ft) Set the O-ring (27) on the control valve (*5) A2 port, and then connect the hydraulic hose (18) with 2 split flanges (26) and 4 hexagon socket head bolts (25).

10. Install the bushing (21) and elbow (20) on the 3-direction valve (10) B port.

Set the O-ring (2) on the 3-direction valve (10) B port and connect the hydraulic hose (19).

• Tightening torque: 162 - 198 N•m (119 - 146 lb ft) Set the O-ring (27) on the control valve (*5) B2 port, and then connect the hydraulic hose (19) with 2 split flanges (26) and 4 hexagon socket head bolts (25).

11. Install the elbow (24) on the 3-direction valve (10) T1 port and connect the hydraulic hose (9).

Install the hose adapter (22) on the hydraulic oil tank (*6) and connect the hydraulic hose (9).

12. Install the bracket (7) on the main unit frame (*1) with 2 sems bolts (4).

Set the clamp (6) and hose clamp (5) on the hydraulic hose (9), and fasten with the sems bolt (8).

13. Install the stud (14) and elbow (15) on the control valve (*5) P3 port.

Connect the hydraulic hose (16) to the control valve (*5) P3 port.

Install the tee (7) on the solenoid valve (14) P port.

Connect the reducing valve (5) P port and solenoid valve (14) P port with the assembly hose (9/YP5).

Connect the reducing valve (5) T port and solenoid valve (14) T port with the assembly hose (9/YT5).

Install the plug (13) on the solenoid valve (14) G port.

Install the tee (7) on the manifold (*2) P4 port.

11. Install the hose adapter (8) on the solenoid valve (14) A1 port.

Connect the solenoid valve (14) A2 port and direction valve (*3) PP port with the assembly hose (10/Y4).

Fasten the assembly hose (10/Y4) with the mount clamp (21) and wire band (22).

15. Install the elbow (15) on the shutoff valve (*4) PP port.

Connect the direction valve (*3) PP port and shutoff valve (*4) PP port with the assembly hose (19/Y4).

16. Install the elbow (15) on the direction valve (*3) DR port.

* The quantity of parts varies depending on the specifications.

1. For double-acting circuit and multi-purpose circuit, connect the wire harness (1) and the reducing valve (*1) as shown in the diagram.

• The ID tape (*2) is red tape and (*3) is blue tape.

Fasten the 2 couplers on the wire harness with 1 clip (6) each and 1 sems bolt (5) each.

2. For breaker circuit, connect the wire harness (1) and the reducing valve (*1) as shown in the diagram.

• The ID tapes (*2) are red tapes and (*3) are blue tapes.

Fasten the 2 couplers on the wire harness with 1 clip (6) each and 1 sems bolt (5) each.

When there is no 1st option circuit, fasten the 2 couplers on the wire harness (1) with 1 clip (6) each and 1 sems bolt (5) each and fasten with the wire band (2).

4. Route the wire harness (1) as in the diagram.

Fasten the wire harness (1) at 7 locations with 1 wire band (2) each, 1 mount clamp (3) each, and 1 Phillips pan head screw (4) each.

5. For 2nd option circuit, connect the wire harness (1) and the reducing valve (*1) as shown in the diagram.

• The ID tapes (*2) are red tapes and (*3) are blue tapes.

Fasten the 2 couplers on the wire harness with 1 clip (6) each and 1 sems bolt (5) each.

6. When there is no 2nd option circuit, fasten the 2 couplers on the wire harness (1) with 1 clip (6) each and 1 sems bolt (5) each and fasten with the wire band (2).

7. For multi-purpose circuit, connect the wire harness (1) and the solenoid valve (*6) as shown in the diagram.

• The ID tapes (*2) are red tapes and (*3) are blue tapes.

9. For breaker circuit, fasten the wire harness (1) with the wire band (2).

10. Extend the wire harness (1) to the floor side from under the cab.

Connect the wire harness (1) connector (16-pin) to the cab main harness (*4).

2. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the 2 screws (*3), and then remove the handle of the tilt lever (*4).

3. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the 2 screws (*5) of the console top cover.

4. Remove the connectors (*6) and remove the console top cover (*7).

5. Use a Phillips screwdriver or box wrench [ 10 mm] to remove the 5 bolts (*8) and remove the cover (*9).

6. Roll up the boot (*10) of the control lever, remove the connector (*11) of the lever switch, and cut the wire band (*12).

7. While fastening the nut (*13) with a wrench [ 22 mm], use a wrench [ 19 mm] to remove the lock nut (*14) and remove the control lever (*15).

Installation of control lever (right) 1. After installing the knob (right) (1), while fastening the nut (*13) with a wrench [ 22 mm], use a wrench [ 19 mm] to install the lock nut (*14).

Lock nut tightening torque: 38.3 - 44.1 N·m (28.249 32.526 lb ft)

2. Install the horn switch connector (*11), bundle with the wire band (*12), and then cover the control lever boot (*10).

3. Use a Phillips screwdriver or box wrench [ 10 mm] to install the cover (*9) with 5 bolts (*8).

4. Install the connectors (*6) and install the console top cover (*7).

5. Use the Phillips screwdriver to install the 2 screws (*5) of the console top cover.

6. Use the Phillips screwdriver to install the handle of the tilt lever (*4) with 2 screws (*3).

7. Use the Phillips screwdriver or box wrench [ 10 mm] to install the 2 bolts (*2) for the console top cover and cover the control lever boot (*1).

Port relief valve installation 1. Remove the plug, and then install the 2 port relief valves (33) on the control valve (*5).

1. Install the stud (1) and pressure sensor (2) on the hydraulic oil tank (*1), then connect the main harness (*2).

Fasten the main harness (*1) with the 2 wire bands (3).

• Tighten the main harness together with the pilot line (*3).
