An “*” in this document indicates that the part is mounted on the actual machine.

Items to prepare: • Wrenches ( 10 mm, 13 mm, 17 mm, 19 mm, 22 mm, 27 mm, 36 mm, 41 mm) • Hexagon wrench ( 8 mm) • Phillips screwdriver (No. 3) • Cutters, scissors • Rag 1. Position the main unit.

• Put the main unit on solid, level ground, put the bucket cylinder at its open stroke end, the arm cylinder at its open stroke end, lower the boom, and touch the arm top to the ground.

2. Switch the ignition key (a) “OFF”, check that the engine has stopped, and then switch the ignition key “ON” again. (Do not start the engine.)

3. Bleed out the pressure inside the circuit.

• Flip the lever (c) forward, and then turn the upper operation lever (b) about 10 times to bleed out the pressure.

• Move the travel lever (d) back and forth about 5 times to bleed out the pressure.

4. Bleed out the pressure from inside the hydraulic tank.

• Press the air breather button (e) on top of the hydraulic tank to release the pressure inside the tank.

1. Install the gear pump (18) on the hydraulic pump (*1).

Install the elbow (5) on the gear pump (18) A4 port.

2. Install the plug (19) on the gear pump (18) a3 port.

2. Install the bracket (17) with the sems bolt (6).

Set the pipe clamp (1) on the line assembly (left) (12) and line assembly (right) (11).

Fasten the pipe clamp (1) with the high-strength bolt (2) and high-strength washer (3).

• Fasten the pipe clamp (1) at a position 96.00 mm (3.78 in) from the rear end of the line assembly (left) (12) and 61.00 mm (2.40 in) from the rear end of the line assembly (right) (11).

3. Install the plate (8) with 2 high-strength bolts (9) and 2 high-strength washers (3).

• If LOCTITE® is included in the kit, apply LOCTITE® (10) to the high-strength bolt (9).

Set the pipe clamp (1) on the line assembly (left) (12) and line assembly (drain) (13). Set the pipe clamp (5) on the line assembly (right) (11).

Fasten the pipe clamps (1), (5) with 1 high-strength bolt (2) each and 1 high-strength washer (3) each.

4. Install the 2 seatings (7) with 1 sems bolt (6) each.

Set the pipe clamp (1) on the line assembly (left) (12) and line assembly (drain) (13). Set the pipe clamp (5) on the line assembly (right) (11).

Fasten the pipe clamps (1), (5) with 1 high-strength bolt (2) each and 1 high-strength washer (3) each.

5. Install the 2 seatings (4) with 1 high-strength bolt (2) each and 1 high-strength washer (3) each.

Set the pipe clamp (1) on the line assembly (left) (12) and line assembly (drain) (13). Set the pipe clamp (5) on the line assembly (right) (11).

Fasten the pipe clamps (1), (5) with 1 high-strength bolt (2) each and 1 high-strength washer (3) each.

• Fasten the pipe clamps (1), (5) at positions 240.00 mm (9.45 in) from the end of the line assembly (left) (12), line assembly (drain) (13), and line assembly (right) (11).

Hydraulic Hose (14) 1. Set the hydraulic hose (14) and connect it to the line assembly (drain) (13).

2. Install the bracket (18) with 2 sems bolts (19).

Install the end of the hydraulic hose (14) on the bracket (18) with the hose adapter (16) and nut (*2).

If wire bands are included in the kit, fasten the hydraulic hose (14) with 4 wire bands (15).

1. Install the elbow (2) on the hydraulic pump (*1) A3 port.

2. Install the elbow (2) on the control valve (*2) PR port.

Connect the control valve (*2) PR port and the hydraulic pump (*1) A3 port with the hydraulic hose (1).

• Fasten so that the length of the hose from the hose clamp (*4) to the hydraulic pump (*1) is 450.00 mm (17.72 in).

3. Fasten the hydraulic hose (1) at 2 locations with 1 clamp with band (8) each and 1 special bolt (9) each.

• Tightening torque: 23.50 - 35.30 N·m (207.99 312.43 lb in).

• Cut off the remaining band.

4. Fasten the hydraulic hose (1) with the clamp with band (6) and bolt (washer included) (7).

• Tightening torque: 23.50 - 35.30 N·m (207.99 312.43 lb in).

5. Install the elbow (3) on the hydraulic pump (*1) B3 port.

Install the elbow (3) on the suction line (*5).

Connect the hydraulic pump (*1) B3 port and the suction line (*5) with the hydraulic hose (5).

1. Install the elbow (6) or tee (24) on the hydraulic hose (*1).

Connect the hydraulic hose (*1) and the line assembly (drain) (*2) with the assembly hose (5/Y8).

2. Install the bracket (22) on the housing frame (*3) with 2 sems bolts (23).

Fasten the assembly hose (5/Y8) at 3 locations with 1 clamp with band (20) each and 1 special bolt (21) each.

• Tightening torque: 23.5 - 35.3 N·m (17.3 - 26.0 lb ft).

3. Install the elbow (10) on the control valve (*4) A12 port.

4. Connect the control valve (*4) A12 port and the line assembly (right) (*6) with the assembly hose (7/Y6).

5. Install the elbow (10) on the control valve (*4) B12 port.

6. Connect the control valve (*4) B12 port and the line assembly (left) (*7) with the assembly hose (7/Y7).

• Fasten so that the distance “L” between the line assemblies (*6), (*7) and the clamp (*5) is 1390.0 mm (54.7 in) for the assembly hose (7/Y6) and 1400.0 mm (55.1 in) for the assembly hose (7/Y7).

Install the elbow (11) or tee (25) on the manifold (*2) P5 port.

Connect the reducing valve (17) P port and manifold (*2) P5 port with the assembly hose (18/P6).

3. Install the elbow (1) on the reducing valve (17) T port.

Install the elbow (11) or tee (25) on the manifold (*2) T5 port.

Connect the reducing valve (17) (T) port and manifold (*2) T5 port with the assembly hose (18/T6), and then fasten with the wire band (3).

4. Install the hose adapter (19) on the reducing valve (17) A2 port.

5. Install the elbow (11) on the control valve (*1) Pa12 port.

Connect the reducing valve (17) A2 port and control valve (*1) Pa12 port with the assembly hose (2/Y6).

6. Install the hose adapter (19) on the reducing valve (17) A1 port.

7. Install the stud (4) and elbow (1) on the control valve (*1) Pb12 port.

Connect the reducing valve (17) A1 port and control valve (*1) Pb12 port with the assembly hose (2/Y7), and then fasten with the wire band (3).

NOTE: (*) The quantity of parts varies depending on the specifications.

1. For double-acting circuit and multi-purpose circuit, connect the wire harness (1) and the reducing valve (*1) as shown in the diagram.

• The ID tape (*2) is red tape and (*3) is blue tape.

Fasten the 2 couplers on the wire harness with 1 clip (6) each and 1 sems bolt (5) each.

2. For breaker circuit, connect the wire harness (1) and the reducing valve (*1) as shown in the diagram.

• The ID tapes (*2) are red tapes and (*3) are blue tapes.

Fasten the 2 couplers on the wire harness with 1 clip (6) each and 1 sems bolt (5) each.

3. When there is no 1st option circuit, fasten the 2 couplers on the wire harness (1) with 1 clip (6) each and 1 sems bolt (5) each and fasten with the wire band (2).

4. Route the wire harness (1) as in the diagram.

Fasten the wire harness (1) at 7 locations with 1 wire band (2) each, 1 mount clamp (3) each, and 1 Phillips pan head screw (4) each.

5. For 2nd option circuit, connect the wire harness (1) and the reducing valve (*1) as shown in the diagram.

• The ID tapes (*2) are red tapes and (*3) are blue tapes.

Fasten the 2 couplers on the wire harness with 1 clip (6) each and 1 sems bolt (5) each.

6. When there is no 2nd option circuit, fasten the 2 couplers on the wire harness (1) with 1 clip (6) each and 1 sems bolt (5) each and fasten with the wire band (2).

7. For multi-purpose circuit, connect the wire harness (1) and the solenoid valve (*6) as shown in the diagram.

• The ID tapes (*2) are red tapes and (*3) are blue tapes.

8. For double-acting circuit, connect the wire harness (1) and the solenoid valve (*6) as shown in the diagram.

• The ID tapes (*2) are red tapes and (*3) are blue tapes.

9. For breaker circuit, fasten the wire harness (1) with the wire band (2).

10. Extend the wire harness (1) to the floor side from under the cab.

Connect the wire harness (1) connector (16-pin) to the cab main harness (*4).

1. Install the rubber cushion (49) on the center cover (50).

Install the center cover (50) with 4 bolts (*1).

1. Roll up the boot (*1) of the control lever and use the Phillips screwdriver or box wrench ( 10 mm) to remove the 2 bolts (*2) of the console top cover.

2. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the 2 screws (*3), and then remove the handle of the tilt lever (*4).

3. Use a hexagon wrench ( 5 mm) to remove the 2 bolts (*5), and remove the grip (*6) of the gate lock lever.

4. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the 2 screws (*7) of the console top cover.

5. Remove the connector (*8) and remove the console top cover (*9).

6. Use a Phillips screwdriver or box wrench ( 10 mm) to remove the 5 bolts (*10) and remove the cover (*11).

7. Roll up the boot (*12) of the control lever, remove the connector (*13) of the lever switch, and cut the wire band (*14).

8. While fastening the nut (*15) with a wrench ( 10 mm), use a wrench ( 19 mm) to remove the lock nut (*16) and remove the control lever (*17).

Installation of control lever (left) 1. After installing the knob (left) (1), while fastening the nut (*15) with a wrench ( 22 mm), use a wrench ( 19 mm) to install the lock nut (*16).

• Lock nut tightening torque: 38.3 - 44.1 N·m (28.2 32.5 lb ft)

2. Install the lever switch connector (*13), bundle with the wire band (*14), and then cover the control lever boot (*12).

3. Use a Phillips screwdriver or box wrench ( 10 mm) to install the cover (*11) with 5 bolts (*10).

4. Install the connector (*8) and install the console top cover (*9).

5. Use the Phillips screwdriver to install the 2 screws (*7) of the console top cover.

6. Use a hexagon wrench ( 5 mm) to install the grip (*4) of the gate lock lever with 2 bolts (*5).

7. Use the Phillips screwdriver to install the handle of the tilt lever (*4) with 2 screws (*3).

8. Use the Phillips screwdriver or box wrench ( 10 mm) to install the 2 bolts (*2) for the console top cover and cover the control lever boot (*1).
