Place the main unit on solid, level ground, put the bucket cylinder at its open stroke end, the arm cylinder at its open stroke end, lower the boom, and touch the arm top to the ground.

Switch the ignition key (a) OFF, check that the engine has stopped, then switch the ignition key ON again.

Do not start the engine.

Bleed out the pressure inside the circuit: Flip the lever (c) forward, then turn the upper operation lever (b) about 10 times to bleed out the pressure.

Move the travel lever (d) back and forth about 5 times to bleed out the pressure.

Bleed out the pressure from inside the hydraulic oil tank.

Press the air breather button (e) on top of the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure inside the tank.

Disconnect the (-) terminal of the battery.

ATTENTION: Make sure to turn off the power (turn the starter switch OFF) before handling the battery.

3.

After marking the plate installation positions, weld the plates (1) - (7) to the arm.

4.

Reconnect the (-) terminal of the battery.

Processing for adding seating to standard arm (A)(1) - No weld within this area (Both sides) (A)(2) - No welding within this area (Including opposite side) (B) - Sealing 1.

Extend the arm and lower it slowly to the ground to make work possible.

2.

Disconnect the (-) terminal of the battery.

ATTENTION: Make sure to turn off the power (turn the starter switch OFF) before handling the battery.

3.

After marking the seating installation positions, weld the seatings (1) and (2) to the arm.

4.

Reconnect the (-) terminal of the battery.

Standard arm line installation ATTENTION: Reference the preparation procedures while bleeding off pressure within the circuit and tank.

5.

Install the left stop valve (4) with the 2 high strength bolts (7) and 2 high strength washers (8).

• Apply LOCTITE® 262 (9) to the threaded sections of the high strength bolts.

6.

Install the hose adapter (5) at the inlet side of the left stop valve (4).

7.

Install the hexagon plug (3) at the outlet side of the left stop valve (4).

8.

Set the O-ring (6) on the hose adapter (5) and install the line assembly (left) (11).

Fasten the line assembly (left) (11) to the arm in 2 locations using 2 pipe clamps (1) each and 2 sems bolts (2) each.

• First, sandwich the line at the upper and lower locations with the 2 pipe clamps (1), then temporarily tighten with the 2 sems bolts (2).

• Next, check that the line angle is straight, then fully tighten the sems bolts (2).

Install the right line assembly (right) (10) with the same procedure as for the left line assembly (left) (11) (see steps 5 to 10).

Install with the same procedure as for the standard arm line installation 2-13 (steps 5-11).

ATTENTION: Reference the preparation procedures while bleeding off pressure within the circuit and tank (see page 2-9) 1.

Install the plug (6) in the line assembly (option left) (8).

• Do this work at ground level.

• The O-ring is attached to the plug.

Lift up the line assembly (option, left) (5) with a lift crane and hold it at the left side installation position.

Clamp A section 3.

Remove the 2 sems bolts (*5) (existing part).

Set the line with the pipe clamp (1) and fasten with the 2 sems bolts (*5): (existing part).

• Install so that the tip of the line comes to a position 100 mm (3.9 in) from the pipe clamp.

Remove the 2 sems bolts (*6) (existing part).

7.

Sandwich the line on the top and bottom with the 2 pipe clamps (2) and fasten with the 2 sems bolts (*6): (existing part).

• Install so that the end tip of the line comes to a position 165 mm (6.5 in) from the pipe clamp.

Clamp C section 9.

Lift up the line assembly (option, left) (8) with a lift crane and hold it at the left side installation position.

10.

Remove the sems bolt (7): (existing part).

11.

Set the line with the pipe clamp (1) and fasten with the 2 sems bolts (*7) (existing part).

12.

• Install so that the tip of the line comes to a position 80 mm (3.1 in) from the pipe clamp.

Clamp D section 13.

Set the line with the pipe clamp (1) and fasten with the 2 sems bolts (3).

14.

After setting the O-rings (10) on the line assembly (option, left) (5) and line assembly (option, left) (8), connect with the hydraulic hose (9).

15.

Set the O-ring (arm line installation (6)) on the tip of the line assembly (left) (5) and connect the hydraulic hose (arm line installation (12)).

16.

Install the right side line assembly (option, right) in the same way as for the left side (see steps 1 - 15 for the left side).

Upper main line installation

(Left side) 1.

Install the bracket (16) on the main unit with the 4 sems bolts (6).

2.

Install the left manifold (8) on the bracket (16) with the 2 sems bolts (6).

3.

Install the hose adapter (3) on the manifold (8) boom (*3) side.

4.

Set the O-ring (2) on the hose adapter (3) and connect the boom (*3) line side hydraulic hose (1).

5.

Install the hose adapter (3) on the manifold (8) control valve side (*1).

6.

Set the O-ring (2) on the hose adapter (3) and connect the hydraulic hose (4).

7.

Remove the 4 hexagon socket head bolts (13): (existing part), then remove the caps (12): (existing part) and O-ring (14): (existing part).

• The existing parts (12), (13) and (14) are not needed.

8.

Set the O-ring (14) on the hydraulic hose (4) flange side and fasten the hose to the control valve (*1) with the 2 split flanges 3/4 (12) and the 4 hexagon socket head bolts (13).

(Right side) 9.

Install the bracket (7) on the frame with the 4 sems bolts (6).

10.

Install the manifold (8) on the bracket (7) with the 2 sems bolts (6).

11.

Install the elbow (15) on the manifold (8) boom (*3) line side.

12.

Set the O-ring (2) on the elbow (15) and connect the hydraulic hose (1).

13.

Install the hose adapter (9) on the manifold (8) hydraulic oil tank (*2) side.

14.

Connect the hydraulic hose (10) to the hose adapter (9).

15.

Remove the hydraulic oil tank plug (11): (existing part), then install the hose adapter (11).

• The existing part (11) is not needed.

16.

Connect the hydraulic hose (10) connected in step 14 to the hose adapter (11).

Remove the control valve option port plug (5): (existing part), then install the port relief valve (5).

• Adjust the pressure setting for the port relief valve (5) to match the type of attachment used.

Set the 1 O-ring (2) each on the left and right boom lines (option), then install 1 hydraulic hose (1) each connected in step 4 (see image 2) and in step 12 (see image 6).

Remove the floor mats inside the cab.

Install the remote control valve (12) at the notch section at the right front of the floor with the 2 sems bolts (11).

Install the pedal bracket (14) on the remote control valve (12) with the 2 hexagon socket head bolts (10) and 2 high strength washers (9).

Install the pedal (7) with the 2 hexagon socket head bolts (8) and 2 high strength washers (9).

Set the lock lever (15) and the compression spring (18) on the lock bracket (17), then fasten with the high strength nut (20) and plain washer (19).

Install the lock bracket (17) on the floor with the 2 hexagon socket head bolts (16) and 2 high strength washers (9).

Adjust the installation position so that the lock bracket locks.

Cover the pedal (7) with the pedal plastic cover (13).

Pilot line installation and harness 1.

Install the nipple (with filter) (14) at the remote control valve (*1) P port.

2.

Remove the P5 port plug of the manifold under the cab (*2), then install the elbow (10).

3.

Connect the remote control valve (*1) P port and manifold under the cab P5 port with the assembly hose (9)/ (P5).

4.

Install the hose adapter (15) at the remote control valve (*1) T port.

5.

Remove the T5 port plug of the manifold under the cab (*2), then install the elbow (10).

6.

Connect the remote control valve (*1) T port and manifold under the cab T5 port with the assembly hose (9)/ (T5).

Install the hose adapter (15) at the remote control valve (*1) B port.

Remove the 5b4 port plug (existing part) of the control valve (*3), then install the long 90° elbow (8).

Connect the remote control valve (*1) B port and control valve (*3) 5b4 port with the assembly hose (9)/ (Y1).

10.

Remove the 5a4 port plug (existing part) of the control valve (*3), then install the stud (3).

11.

Install the tee (7) and elbow (*4) on the return line.

12.

Connect the 5a4 port stud (3), tee (7) on the return line, and elbow (*4) with the assembly hose (4)/ (Y2).

Install the 2 plugs (13) in the remote control valve (*1) A port and C2 port.

Fasten the assembly hose that comes out from the remote control valve (*1) at 3 locations with mount clamps (17), Philips pan head screws (18), and wire bands (19).

15.

Fasten the assembly hose and pilot control line together with 1 wire band (19).

NOTE: Disconnect the (-) terminal of the battery.

ATTENTION: Make sure to turn off the power (turn the starter switch OFF) before handling the battery.

NOTE: After completing all the work, reconnect the (-) terminal of the battery.

1.

Install the pressure switch (16) at the remote control valve (*1) C1 port.

2.

Route the wire harness (2) and connect to the pressure switch (16) (see image 1).

3.

Fasten the wire harness (2) in 4 locations with the mount clamps (17), Philips pan head screws (18) and wire bands (19) (see image 1).

4.

Fasten the pressure switch (16) harness with the clip (12) and sems bolt (11).

Extend the wire harness (2) to the floor side from under the cab and connect to the connector (*2).

Remove the right side trim cover (*1) inside the cab.

8.

Cut away the rocker switch expansion section (left end section) and install the rocker switch (6).

Connect the connector that is fastened with blue tape to the rocker switch (6).

NOTE: For the below instructions see image 2.

1.

Install the manifold (4) on the hydraulic oil tank (*1) with the 2 high strength bolts (7) and 2 high strength washers (8).

2.

Install the pressure switch (for the filter) (5) on the manifold (4) B port.

3.

Install the elbow (6) on the manifold (4) A port.

4.

Install the hose adapter (3) on the manifold (4) C port.

5.

Remove the hydraulic oil tank D5 port hydraulic hose, (2)/ (F2) and elbow (*2), then install the tee (1).

6.

Install the elbow (*2) removed in step 5 on the tee (1).

7.

Connect the hydraulic hose (2)/ (F2) removed in step 5 to the tee (1).

8.

Connect the assembly hose (2)/ (F2) from the manifold (4) C port to the D5 port elbow (*2).

9.

Remove the hydraulic oil tank (*1) side plug and install the hose adapter (3).

10.

Connect the assembly hose (2)/ (F1) from the manifold (4) A port on elbow (6) to the hose adapter (3).

11.

Connect the pressure switch (for filter) (5) harness to the main frame harness.

Remove the floor mats from the cab.

2.

Spread out the floor mats on a flat platform and mark the dimensional positions.

3.

Use cutters or scissors to cut notch holes.
