The central lubrication, gently swing grain tank unloading tube, fold grain tank unloading tube and fan control functions for the horizontal cooling system run on the ACU III (A196) module. With the integrated ACU III (A196), the fan for the horizontal cooling system is no longer taught-in.

If the Grain Quality Cam is available, it can be switched on to assess the cleanness within the selected CEMOS AUTOMATIC strategy (1). This involves the cleanness within a strategy being influenced by adjusting the sensitivity (2) of the Grain Quality Cam. If the grain cleanness is changed manually within the strategy, a message (3) is displayed in CEBIS Mobile. The menu item is greyed out in CEBIS. This function is only available in CEBIS Mobile from the 2017 financial year and is not downwards compatible.

Description: A 50-hour (drum hours) demo version of CRUISE PILOT is available if the main switch CRUISE PILOT is on. The demo version is available for any machine which is equipped with all CRUISE PILOT components except for software. The machine software registers this automatically.

After CRUISE PILOT has been inactive for 10 drum hours, the software issues a prompt notifying the user that demo mode is available on the machine. After 35 drum hours, another message is displayed to remind you that the licence will expire soon (1).

There is still enough time to buy the system and activate it via CDS. After 50 drum hours and the main switch CRUISE PILOT on, demo mode ends and CRUISE PILOT is no longer available due to the licence having expired (2).

Description: Automatic crop flow control (MD_Q15_0060) can be ordered for the LEXION as an option. Here, in addition to the measures already known, the APS drum (B011), the straw blockage warning actual value switch (Z061), the straw chopper (B028) and the max. engine drop (A015) are actively monitored. The engine speed (A015) serves as a reference here. In the case of an excessive speed difference, the main drive is automatically switched off.

In CEBIS the ON / OFF function (2) can be switched in the "Automatic crop flow control" menu (1). In addition, three slip limit steps can be set using the sensitivity (3).

High throughputs in combination with extremely green or very moist straw can lead in the extreme case for bending of the feeder bar and therefore to undesirable down-times. The feeder bar HD for the LEXION Hybrid and walker models provide by a changed material for more stability. The geometry remains exists by which a change easily develops.

The risk that stones damages the feeder bar is reduced.

A new V channel for wide and narrow LEXION machines is now also available for the known feed rake conveyors with cutterbar angle adjustment.

The cutting angle is adjusted mechanically by adjusting the threaded rods (1) on the right and left. The two threaded rods are connected via a chain, which means that only one side needs to be adjusted. The cutting angle can be read off via the display (2) on the left-hand side.

Instead of the feeder chains in the feed rake conveyor, now as an optimum solution just one belt (1) (B13_0031) can be ordered. This has a longer server life, which means that the intervals until the next time the belt needs re-tensioning are also longer.

Fitting the belt system Description:

1. Pre-assemble the conveyor slats (a) on the conveyor belts (b).

2. Move the pre-assembled conveyor belt (b) into the feed rake conveyor (note the direction of movement (c) of the conveyor slats (a)).

3. Using the connectors (d), loosely join and align the conveyor belts (b).

4. Tighten the securing nuts on the connectors (d) to 15 Nm in the following order: Middle (1), left (2), right (3). Repeat this process three times.

5. Tension the conveyor belt (b) to the target dimension (e) 100 mm.

6. Tighten the nuts on the connectors (d) to 40 Nm in the following order: Middle (1), left (2), right (3).

Repeat this process three times.

7. Tension the conveyor belt (b) so that the third conveyor slat from the front lightly touches the floor or the slide rails of the feed rake conveyor.

8. After a test run of the conveyor system, retighten the screws (1-3) again to 40 Nm, starting in the middle.

Description: Via the spare parts department, a roller blind for the feed rake conveyor can be ordered using the add-on kit number 1806 701.x. The fitting instructions 0301 549.x provide information on the exact fitting and for which combine harvesters and/or cutterbars this add-on kit is available.

The left bearing unit (1) on the feed rake conveyor has been fitted with a new lubricating nipple (2).

The change was integrated in machines from the end of November 2016.

The lubrication interval is every 500 hours.

For rotor machines, V segments (1-3) can be fitted on the threshing drums. These start to separate the crop in the threshing drum. This improves the crop flow at a slow drum speed and under very difficult conditions, e.g. for beans, soya.

A set of separate rotor covers (1) can be ordered, if required, via the spare parts department using the number 1801 455.x.

The set comprises four sets of rotor cover plates so that one set can enclose each set of concaves.

Folding the grain tank tube – functional description Switch functions via the CAN BUS/LIN BUS The switches for the swing out grain tank unloading tube (S087) and swing in grain tank unloading tube (S088) functions are read in by the operating panel module (A075, OPM) and transmitted on the CAN BUS as switching commands. The advanced control unit 3 (A196) provides feedback on the position of the grain tank unloading tube via the CAN BUS to the vehicle base module (A069). In addition, the vehicle base module (A069) receives feedback on the position of the grain tank unloading tube end via the fold grain tank unloading tube motor (M078) via the LIN BUS. Folding the unloading auger tube In order to use the fold unloading auger tube function, the road travel switch (S052) must be in the fieldwork position. The unloading auger tube must also be recognised as swung in. This is detected via the grain tank unloading tube position sensor (B394). If these conditions are met, the unloading auger tube can be folded via the swing out grain tank unloading tube switch (S087) and the swing in grain tank unloading tube switch (S088).

To adjust the folding of the grain tank tube, the switches (S087, S088) must be pressed during the entire adjustment process. In the end positions, it takes a few moments for the grain tank tube to start folding. If the grain tank tube extension is located between the end positions, the adjustment is carried out immediately after actuating the respective switch (S087, S088).

The adjustment and when the end position is reached is displayed on the CEBIS terminal (A030).

Emergency mode If the grain tank tube is swung out and a defect is detected on the motor unit for folding the grain tank unloading tube (C134), the unloading auger tube can only be swung in at a minimum speed. To do this, the swing in grain tank unloading tube switch (S088) must be held down.

Grain tank unloading – functional description Soft start-up (7XL) To ensure a soft start-up of the grain tank unloading process which is also gentle to the drive units, the grain tank unloading solenoid coil (Y035) is actuated in a modulated way (PWM) by the vehicle base module (A069).

The speed sensor for the grain tank unloading drive (B529) monitors the coupling process and, if a blockage is detected, the grain tank unloading function is switched off again.

Slip control (7XL) To avoid damage to the components, the system is monitored for slippage. If the grain tank unloading drive speed sensor (B529) detects a slip which is deemed too large over a short space, the grain tank unloading function is switched off by the vehicle base module (A069).

In the case of a defect or when upgrading the machine, two test functions can be used under the function diagnosis menu.

To accurately calibrate the sensors on the 7XL grain tank unloading tube, two calibration steps need to be carried out with the CDS.

1. Manually swinging the unloading auger tube without taking the sensors into account.

2. Manually folding the grain tank unloading tube without taking the sensors into account.

3. End position of grain tank tube > Calibrating the flows on the proportional valve for gentle swinging (Y033 / Y034).

4. 7XL > Calibrating the LIN motor for folding the grain tank tube (C134).

If the pressure (P) exceeds the set opening pressure on the PRV (2), this valve opens and oil can access the face side of the main slide (1), whereby this is pushed against the spring and opens. The pressure (P) can now be relieved directly via the main valve (1) and the pre-load valve (5) in the direction of the tank (T).

When the valve is open, the pressure (P) drops to the set recirculation pressure. The PRV (2) is closed and the recirculation pressure (P) is routed via the channel guide (k) to the face side of the main slide (1) so that this remains open. The main slide (1) does not close until after the volume flow is switched off.
