5. Lift and Lower Control Valve: This manual lever hydraulic control valve (standard) is located on the right hand side of the dash plate. Raising the Forks The control valve will engage the stackers hydraulic system when pushed and held downwards. This, in turn, forces the hydraulic cylinder in the center of the mast to extend vertically. This extension causes the carriage and forks to rise. Releasing the lever will cause the lever to return to center position and will stop the upward travel of the forks. Lowering the Forks The control valve will engage the stackers hydraulic system when pulled and held upwards. This, in turn, allows the hydraulic cylinder in the center of the mast to retract vertically. This causes the carriage and forks to descend. Releasing the lever will cause the lever to return to center position and will stop the downward travel of the forks. 6. Fork Tilt Control Valve Tilting the Forks Up The control valve will engage the stackers hydraulic system when pushed and held downwards. This, in turn, forces two hydraulic cylinders on either sides of the mast carriage to extend downwards. This extension causes the fork tips to rise. Releasing the lever will cause the lever to return to center position and will stop the upward tilting of the forks. Tilting the Forks Down The control valve will engage the stackers hydraulic system when pulled and held upwards. This, in turn, forces two hydraulic cylinders on either sides of the mast carriage to retract upwards. This retraction causes the fork tips to drop to normal (level). Releasing the lever will cause the lever to return to center position and will stop the downward tilting of the forks.
