1.1.1 Safety ► Work may be carried out only by a qualified authorized workshop with trained technical staff. ► Observe the general safety, accident prevention and environmental protection regulations. ► Before starting work on the machine, read and observe the safety instructions provided in the Operator's Manual and the safety decals on the machine. ► Carry out any work only with the drive shut down and the engine stopped! – Remove the ignition key! ► Carry out work underneath a raised machine/front attachment or raised components only if a safe support is provided. ► Before working on the hydraulic system, lower the machine/front attachment and hydraulic components down. Depressurize the system. ► Relieve the pressure of pre-loaded energy accumulators (springs, accumulators, hydraulic cylinders) and of components pressurized by energy accumulators according to regulations prior to starting installation work! ► When replacing parts carrying a safety decal, ensure that the corresponding safety decals are applied to the new parts. ► Refit any dismounted safety devices and other parts prior to putting the machine into operation and move them to their protective position. ► When installation is complete, check if all bolts are tightly seated. Carry out a functional check. ► The dimensions are metric dimensions. The corresponding U.S. dimension are provided in brackets.

4.1.1 Putting the machine out of operation Before work is carried out on the machine, perform the following steps: Stop the diesel engine.

Apply the parking brake.

Remove the ignition key.

Remove the key of the battery isolating switch.

Wait until machine parts which continue rotating have come to a complete halt. ► Secure machine using wheel chocks. ► Ensure that the machine cannot be started by any third persons. ► ► ► ► ►

4.1.3 Retrofitting the air compressor – Open the grain tank completely.

– Open the engine bonnet.

– Let the engine and the machine units cool down.

– Drain coolant.

► Remove installation flap (A) on the inside of the grain tank.

► Unscrew bolts (B). ► Remove cover (C); no longer required. ► Collect and dispose of lubricating oil (small quantity) properly.

Cut cable tie (D); no longer required. ►

► Screw male connector (8) into air compressor (1). ► Lift air compressor (1) onto the machine with a suitable lifting device.

► Bolt down air compressor (1) with hex. bolt (42). ► Tightening torque of bolts (42): 60 Nm. ► Bolt bracket (2) down to the engine with hex. bolts (38) and to air compressor (1) with hex. bolt (40). ► Tightening torque of hex. bolts (38): 30 Nm. ► Tightening torque of hex bolt (40): 50 Nm. ► Fasten cable (E) to bracket (2) with cable tie (43).

► Unlock and pull off closure cap (F). ► Collect the coolant properly.

Depending on the engine variant (connection ► position): connect coolant line (3) or (4) to air compressor (1) and to the engine. ► The coolant line must engage at the connections. ► Caution: A major quantity of coolant may still be present in the cooling circuit!

► Depending on the engine variant, coolant line (G) may be connected to the engine. ► Remove fastening clamp (H); no longer required. ► Unlock and pull off coolant line (G); no longer required. ► Collect the coolant properly. ► Close connections with closure caps (6) and (F).

► Lay coolant line (5) according to the figure and connect it to air compressor (1). ► The coolant line must engage at the connection. ► Fasten coolant line (5) with fastening clamps (29). ► Bolt down fastening clamps with contact washers (32) and hex. bolts (35).

► Unlock and pull off closure cap (F); no longer required. ► Connect coolant line (5) to the engine. ► The coolant line must engage at the connection.

► Bolt down pressure controller (7) with contact washer (32), hex. nut (34) and hex. bolt (37).

► Screw pipe (9) to air compressor (1) and pressure controller (7). ► Tightening torque of union nut on male connector of air compressor: 75 Nm. Fasten pipe (9) to support angle (J) with fixing ► clamp (30). ► Bolt down the fixing clamp with contact washer (32), hex. nut (34) and hex. bolt (37).

► Screw male connector (10) into air compressor (1). ► Screw hose (11) to air compressor (1) and pressure controller (7).

► Unscrew clamp (L) from its initial position; the screw fitting is no longer required. ► Bolt down bracket (13) with contact washers (32) and hex. bolts (36). ► Fasten wiring loom (K) to the bracket, using clamp (L).

► Bolt down resonance vessel (14) with contact washers (32) and hex. bolts (37).

► Connect suction line (15) to air compressor (1) and resonance vessel (14). ► The suction line must engage at the connecting points. ► Fasten suction line (15) to bracket (M) with fastening clamp (31). ► Bolt down the fastening clamp with contact washer (32), hex. nut (34) and hex. bolt (37).

► Unlock closure cap (N) on air intake pipe (O) and pull it off; no longer required. ► Connect suction line (16) to resonance vessel (14) and air intake pipe (O). ► The suction line must engage at the connecting points.

4.1.4 Installing the compressed air reservoir and laying the compressed air lines ► Bolt down compressed air reservoir (17) with contact washers (32), contact washer (33), hex. nut (34), hex. bolt (39) and hex. bolt (41). ► Apply warning decal (25) on compressed air reservoir (17).

► Cut compressed air line (19) to the following dimensions. ► 1 x compressed air line = 2200 mm (19a). ► 1 x compressed air line = 1970 mm (19b).

Cut corrugated tube (20) to ► dimension = 2150 mm. ► Insert compressed air line (19a) into pre-cut corrugated tube (20).

► Plug the pre-assembled compressed air line (19a) into the vertical plug-in unit on compressed air reservoir (17).

► Lay compressed air line (18) from the pressure tank up to the oil drain nozzle. ► Use the existing hose clamps for fixing the compressed air line. ► Cut the existing cable ties; no longer required. ► Now fix the compressed air line with cable ties (44).

Guide compressed air line (19b) through cable ring (27).

Unscrew screw fitting (V). ► Bolt down angle (12) with screw fitting (V).

Fasten compressed air line (19b) to angle (12) with fastening clamp (28). ► Bolt down the fastening clamp with contact washer (32), hex. nut (34) and hex. bolt (37).

► Plug the ring of dust cap (22) through the column from the outside. ► Install Schott male connector (21). ► First unscrew lock nut (21a) from Schott male connector. ► Plug Schott male connector through the column and the ring of dust cap (22) from the outside. ► Fix Schott male connector to the column with lock nut (21a). ► Screw on plug-in unit (23). ► Plug compressed air line (19b) into plug-in unit (23). ► Screw closure coupler (24) to Schott male connector (21). ► Apply function decal (26).
