1.1.1 How to use this manual This manual shows you how to assembly the parts listed in the Package List section.

In the following chapters, the cutterbar is referred to as a front attachment. The combine harvester / forage harvester is referred to as the machine.

Text and pictures are kept neutral if possible.

Differences are indicated using picture headings or text notes.

In the assembly descriptions, for better clarification, existing parts are designated using letters and new parts are designated using numbers.

Directions such as front, back, right and left are always relative to the direction of travel.

Technical data, dimensions and weights are given as an indication only. We reserve the right to make changes in response to technical development and errors.

4.1.2 Laying the wiring loom – Remove the air duct (L).

The air duct (L) is fixed using clamps.

If necessary, use a screwdriver to help with this.

– Drill a Ø 30 mm hole on the front right-hand side of the central terminal compartment housing (see arrow).

The distance between the centre of the hole to the front and to the bottom should be approx. 50 mm.

– Deburr the hole.

– At the bottom of the right side of the air duct (L), drill a Ø 30 mm hole into the air duct.

The distance (X) from the lower edge to the hole of the centre shall be about 80 mm.

– At the top of the right side of the air duct (L), drill a Ø 30 mm hole into the air duct.

The distance (Y) from the top edge to the hole of the centre shall be about 390 mm.

– Remove the nozzles (F) from the air duct (L).

– Slide on the upper cable ring (7) at the end of the wiring loom (26).

Dimension (Z) = around 200 mm – Slide the wiring loom (26) through the top hole of the air duct (L).

– Insert the cable rings (7) into both holes.

– Insert the nozzles (F).

– Install the air duct (L) in the operator's platform.

– Slide on the cable ring (7) at the bottom end of the wiring loom (26).

– Lay the cable end into the central terminal compartment housing.

Fit cable ring (7).

– Connect the connector (E) of wiring loom (1) to module (4) and arrest it (see arrow).

Place the module (4) on the bottom of the central terminal compartment without fixing it.

– Refit the modules and then close the central electric's compartment.

– Bolt down the pre-assembled bracket (18) with bolts (21) at (A).

If necessary, drill a hole of Ø 5 mm into the cab frame at (A) and insert bolt with pull nuts.

- Open the bracket (L) as shown in the figure.

- Slide the plug (K) into the slot.

- Rotate the bracket (L) by about 90° while slightly pressing on the rear of the plug until the spring snaps in.

For disconnecting the plug, push down lever (H) and rotate the bracket (L) backwards.

A wheeled jig is used in the figure (selfmanufactured).

– Attach the jig to the feeder housing at (A) and (B).

– Drill holes at (C).

- Use the dimensions in the drawing or if gauge (L) is available, insert the straight lug in the slotted hole (A) and place it in parallel with edge (K).

- Drill through the two holes (C) in the gauge (L) with a 5 mm drill and tap out using a M6 tap.

Type 492: – On the lever (H) drill a hole (D, Ø 5 mm), on a diagonal line from the middle of bolt (S) to the screw fitting hole (T).

The dimension (X) from the middle of bolt (S) to the hole to be drilled (D) must be 90 mm.

– Cut a M6 thread into hole (D).

– Pre-assemble sensor (10) and connecting rod (14).

- Fit sensor (10) to bracket (8) using screws (11).

Important: The plug and the tip of the sensor flange must face forward.

- Fit mounting plate (12) to sensor (3) using screws (13).

– To this end, screw down the claws on the hex. shaft (S) with bolts (M) on both sides beneath the drum housing.

4.2.1 Installing the GPS antenna (accessory) Note!

For yield mapping, the CLAAS CEBIS MOBILE yield measuring supplementary kit must be installed first.

For this reason, first: – Install the CLAAS CEBIS MOBILE yield measuring.

– Open the right cab window completely.

Description Test-weighing menu Select crop and enter its litre weight: • Crop The display shows the available kinds of crop, i.e. maize and grass.

Litre weight guideline values are displayed for three different degrees of moisture each.

If the desired crop is not included in the list, select "unknown" crop.

• Litre weight [ g / l ] = Litre weight of crop Precise yield measuring requires exact determination and entry of the litre weight.

For this reason, the litre weight displayed in the test-weighing menu must be checked by comparison and corrected if necessary.

• Test-weighing = Status display on the process of test-weighing To achieve maximum accuracy in yield measuring, repeat testweighing on every field and for each crop.

To achieve a correct measuring value, perform test-weighing in the middle of the crop and not at the edge of the field.

• Measured [ t ] = Crop yield as measured by CEBIS MOBILE • Weighed [ t ] = Crop yield as obtained by weighing The correction of the weight measured by CEBIS MOBILE applies retroactively as from the beginning of the work record.

The following data is re-calculated: - Daily and total working hours counter.

- Yield data of started work record in the harvest display menu.

- Work records.

• Calibration factor = Litre weight of crop To achieve maximum accuracy in yield measuring, we recommend correcting changes in the crop using the litre weight instead of the calibration factor.

Increases or decreased the litre weight by 10 grams/litre [ g / l ].

When the crop changes, quick adaptation of the litre weight can be achieved.

If e.g. the crop is clearly drier at the edge of the field than in the middle, the litre weight can be temporarily reduced at the edge of the field while harvesting.When the crop gets more moist again, a quick increase of the litre weight is possible.

In order to start a work record, any work orders that may still be active must be stopped. The message "Status: stopped" must appear in the work record menu.

When starting the work record in the yield mapping with GPS version, recording of measured value is started at the same time.

Stops the work record.

The selected work record is stopped. Yield measuring for this work record is stopped. The work record status changes to "stopped". The stopping time is shown.

The stopped work record can be re-started if desired. The new yield data are then added to the counters available at the time the work record was stopped.

With putting the CEBIS MOBILE into operation for the first time, the current GPS setting must be checked and a GPS receiver may have to be selected: Display and check of GPS source (only for yield mapping): • • • • • • • •

The calibration dimension must be newly determined and set at least upon putting the CEBIS MOBILE into operation for the first time and after replacing of the potentiometer.

– Determine the calibration dimension (X) between the centre of the grease nipple and the scraper bar.

7.4.3 Learning the zero gap Using the Learning the zero gap function, the potentiometer learns the end position of the compression rollers, i.e. the position of the rollers when throughput is zero and roller deflection is zero. Successful learning of the zero gap is a must for correct yield measuring.

To learn the zero gap, the following preconditions must be met:

• the feeder is empty, • the machine is standing still and • the rubber cushions (1) are free of deposits.

Perform learning of the zero gap at the beginning of each harvesting operation.

Note!

The potentiometer values determined during the learning process may change during a working day since the rubber cushions (1) on which the rollers rest expand.

– Repeat the learning process after one hour of operation.
