Rigid Front Axle Description The rigid front axle is by Carraro. The rigid front axle is mainly composed of the drive axle and a limited slip differential.

The rigid front axle is connected to the tractor through the cradle. The yoke of the rigid front axle is of the pendular type.

The central hub houses the limited slip differential device. It uses the teeth separation force between the planet and sun gears (1) when wheel spin occurs at a wheel. The relevant multi-disk clutch (2) then gets compressed, which enables the wheel with adhesion to transmit virtually all the torque lost by the other wheel.

Management of differentials Description The tractor is fitted with 2 differentials. The first is in the front axle and the second in the rear axle. The rigid and suspended front axle differential is of the limited slip type. The rear axle differential has electro-hydraulic engaging.

Operating laws Pressurizing and releasing the rear differential locking clutch are controlled by the "TR2" module through an On/ Off solenoid valve. Locking and releasing the rear axle differential can be managed automatically, according to the rear lifting position or by a cab command. To protect the unit, the differential is released when pressing the brakes or when tractor speed is too high. The "Cebis" informs the user if the differential is blocked or non. As the

front differential is of the limited slip type, it does not use automations to lock. The central hub houses the limited slip differential device. – Fit the pressure sensor of kit Nr.00 0178 310 0 on a T on the level of the differential locking supply – Connect the portable command of kit n°00 0178 310 0 onto the pressure sensor.

– Actuate the differential locking contact.

– Measure the pressure which must be 21 bar.

MECHANICAL PART Description Locking the rear axle differential is ensured mechanically by triggering the electro-hydraulic pawl managed by the "TR2 A57-2" module. The return spring allows disengaging when the differential is no longer commanded. This locking is

The differential lock is disengaged:

4 wheel drive Description The 4 wheel drive status of the transmission is achieved by engaging the 4 wheel drive clutch. The 4 wheel drive clutch is part of the GPA 20 rear axle. The 4 wheel drive is made by Gima. The movement at gearbox exit is transmitted permanently to the 4 wheel drive clutch. The 4 wheel drive clutch housing also provides the function of power take-off proportional with forward speed.

Lubrication is performed by splashing.

Pressurizing and releasing the 4 wheel drive clutch are controlled by the "TR2" module by means of an On/Off solenoid valve. The 4 driving wheels will be engaged: – Upon request by the user.

– Locked diferential.

– The user brakes (simultaneous action on the 2 service brake pedals).

– The hand brake is actuated.

– The tractor's speed is under 14 km/h.

The clutch receives the entry movement through the "P2" driven gear. The hub connected with its shaft transmits the movement to the front axle. When the clutch is not supplied in low rpessure, the front axle is engaged.

Protection The front axle is automatically disengaged when speed exceeds 14 km/h. To guarantee effective braking on the 4 wheels of the tractor, the front axle is engaged once the service brake is actuated (with the 2 coupled pedals). The

Hydraulic part of the lubrication Description The 4 wheel drive clutch is splash-lubricated. Holes allow the oil to reach the clutch discs. A facing fitted around the clutch reduces the power lost by the splash-lubrication.
