Operation Unfastening the seat belt ☞ Unfasten the seat belt as follows: • Hold the seat belt • Press red button C on buckle B ➥ Latch A is released from buckle B by spring action • Slowly return the seat belt to the retractor (option)

Longer/shorter lap belt adjustment: ☞ Lengthen/shorten the lap belt as follows:

• To lengthen, hold buckle latch A at a right angle to the seat belt and pull the seat belt to the required length • To shorten the lap belt, just pull the free end D of the belt
Notice! When pulled slowly, the automatic seat belt offers full freedom of movement. It locks however during abrupt braking. The automatic seat belt may also lock when passing through potholes or uneven terrain.

3.9 Engine cover Opening/closing the engine cover ☞ Open the engine cover A
• Stop the engine and remove the ignition key • Pull handle A up • Pull the engine cover upwards ➥ The engine cover opens with the help of gas struts
☞ Close the engine cover • Firmly press down the engine cover until the lock engages with an audible click • Press handle A down ☞ Lock the engine cover • Close the engine cover with the ignition key (a padlock can be used in addition) Fig. 65:
