Clean the truck if necessary. Check the length of the lifting chains. When the carriages are level with the mast, the chains should be slightly loose. Adjust if necessary. (Does not apply to pallet trucks.) Apply a thin layer of lubrication on the mast's guide surfaces.

Do not let water onto the electrical devices.
