15.10 Quick battery replacement

NOTE: The quick battery replacement option is installed to the truck during manufacturing. Thus, this option must be selected before you buy the truck.

15.10.1 Remove an empty battery with the battery replacement device

CAUTION

To prevent injury, do not put your foot between the rollers of the battery replacement device when you pull the battery onto the battery replacement device.

1. Park the truck in the battery changing area. 2. Apply the parking brake. 3. Set the power of the truck to OFF. 4. Open the battery cover. See section 5.4.6.

5. Disconnect the battery connector.

6. Adjust the height of the battery replacement device with a pallet truck until the top of the rollers of the battery replacement device and the rollers of the truck are at the same level.

7. Pull or push the battery out onto the battery replacement device.

15.10.2 Install a full battery with the battery replacement device

1. Move the battery replacement device with a pallet truck so that you can move the full battery into the truck.

2. Open the locking device of the battery replacement device with your foot.

3. Move the full battery into the truck (make sure that the battery type and voltage are correct).
