Description: From below mentioned serialnumbers two different brands of Traction Motor are used at MCFE production. When replacing a defective traction motor the name and number identification plate of this motor should be checked, while the two different brands cannot be combined in one truck, because of the differences in controller software. Both brands are available as spare part. While the Schabmüller motor has different location of the connection terminals then the Prestolite motor it is necessary to use different power cables then currently mentioned in the parts manuals. The mentioned cable is not long enough to be connected to a Schabmüller motor. A partnumber for the longer cable is not available yet and will be announced in a next Service Bulletin. Meanwhile you can contact Service Engineering Department if a longer cable is required. Also refer to SB-07-078 and SB-08-035 for more information regarding Traction Motors and Controllers.
