Replacement Replace the safety filter elements (5, Fig. 3-30:) after 1000 operating hours or 3 cleaning cycles; after one year of operation at the latest. Never clean the safety filter element, but always renew.
At regular intervals: Ü check intake lines for leaks and hose clamps for tightness; Ü replace hoses between filter housing and engine. During all works on the air-intake system ensure proper sealing to prevent unfiltered air from reaching the engines.
Dust collection Dust accumulating on the filter-housing bottom is constantly sucked away by the exhaust system during operation. The non-return valves (7, Fig. 3-32:) in the suction lines prevent engine exhaust gases from being sucked in. At regular intervals: Ü check suction lines for leaks and hose clamps for tightness.
