Inspection and servicing
Fix an instruction sticker (Fig. 3-1:): in the cab, on the hydraulic oil tank and on hydraulically-operated attachment.
Environmentally compatible hydraulic fluid - Sampling
Complete sets are compiled for hydraulic fluid analysis. They contain all necessary parts.
Sets are available from the Terex Germany Spare-Parts Service: Part-No. 1 465 077.
Hydraulic fluid analyses are performed by: WEARCHECK GmbH Bahnhofstraße 75 D-83098 Brannenburg
After 30 - 50 operating hours with environmentally compatible hydraulic fluid, take a sample of the hydraulic fluid. Send this sample in to the above address for analysis. The company will then notify you of the result of the analysis.
Start up the machine. Check level in hydraulic tank according to servicing plan.
The hydraulic fluid may dissolve deposits in the hydraulic system. So change all filters 30 - 50 operating hours after making the change. Make further filter changes according to servicing plan.
Sample the hydraulic fluid after 30 - 50 operating hours and send in for analysis. (See section: "Environmentally compatible hydraulic fluid, sampling").
After this, Terex Germany recommends sending in a sample for analysis every 1000 operating hours or once a year.
It is essential that the hydraulic fluid should be analysed not later than after 3000 operating hours.
The results of the analysis show whether the hydraulic fluid is still serviceable and the changing interval can be extended. In case of questions contact the Terex Germany Service.

ENVIRONMENT-FRIENDLY LUBRICANTS AND GEARBOX OILS

2804246
Lubricants for bearings
The machine can be lubricated with an environment-friendly grease.
Environment-friendly grease can be used in the central lubricating system, in all other bearings and in the roller-bearing slewing ring.
BP Biogrease E2 is approved by Terex Germany as an environmentfriendly grease.
Gearbox oils
Environment-friendly gearbox oils are not approved by O&K-Mining for use in the travelling, slewing and pump transfers gearboxes.

INSPECTION AND SERVICING PLANS - INSTRUCTIONS
Intervals
Air-intake system
3659018
The inspection and Servicing plan lists all jobs which have to be done on the machine at regular intervals.
The individual inspection and Servicing plans are marked with letters providing a link between the operating hours (OH) recorded by the hours-run meter of the machine and the inspection and sServicing plans.
PlanDo all jobs ....
V ...once prior to initial commissioning.
N ...after initial commissioning and during the running-in period.
T ...every 10 OH or every working shift 1)
W ...every 60 OH or weekly .2
A ...after every 250 OH.
B ...after every 500 OH.
C ...after every 1000 OH.
D ...after every 5000 OH.
E ...after every 10000 OH.
OH = Bh = Operating hours
Change of engine oil l
The intervals stated for changing the engine oil apply to fuels with a sulphur content of ≤ 0.5% and a permanent ambient temperature down to –10° C.
In case of higher sulphur content and/or a permanent ambient temperature of below –10° C, shorter intervals are required.
If the engine oil change intervals are not reached within 6 months, the oil must be changed at least after 6 months
The air filter must be serviced only if the BCS so indicates. Replace the filter elements after one year at the latest.
Oils / Greases
For the specification of oils and greases to be used refer to the "Lubricants" section.

The numerals mentioned in the "Oil / Grease" column in the inspection and sServicing plans have the following meaning:
I Oils for combustion engines and compressors
II Oils for hydraulic systems
III Oils for gearboxes
V Greases for bearings and slewing rings
Cleaning jobs
Cleaning jobs, especially on cooling systems, must be done at shorter intervals if the machine is exposed to severe dust build-up.
Components
The maintenance intervals for components, e.g. engine and gearbox, are listed in the following Terex Germany maintenance schedules.
It is possible that the manufacturer's documentation for these components states intervals deviating from the above-mentioned intervals.
In such case, only the maintenance intervals specified by Terex Germany shall apply.
