OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS RH 30 F Operation Load hook (optional equipment).
Read and observe "Lifting-gear operation - Safety instructions". Switch on your overload warning system.
Overload warning system Hydraulic excavators used as lifting gear or for the transport of loads must be equipped with an overload warning system. The overload warning system is basically composed of an electro-hydraulic switching unit triggering an optical and acoustic warning signal before the admissible load moment is reached (Fig. 2-68:).
Fig. 2-68: Fig. 2-67:
Lifting capacity of the load hook The maximum lifting capacity of the hook is indicated on the load hook (Fig. 2-67:).
Do not shut off the overload warning system when the warning signal is sounded. The overload warning system must be on during lifting operations.
Lifting capacity of the excavator The admissible lifting capacity as a function of the working range is set out in the load table, see "Technical Data".
The overload warning system merely gives warning signals; it cannot prevent the excavator from overturning. When the warning signal sounds: §
let down the load immediatel
§
shorten the working range or reduce the load.
In spite of the overload warning system, the operator is obliged to make sure beforehand that the load to be lifted does not exceed the excavator's lifting capacity. The operator exceeds the admissible load moment if too heavy a load is being lifted with a large working range of the equipment (lifting capacity, see section "Lifting capacity of the excavator").
