Clamshell Operation
Position the bucket as follows for clamshell operat
1. Lower the bucket to the ground.
2. Tilt the bucket forward until it is in the "clamshell" position as indicated by the selector gauge on the Drott Bucket.
3. Open the clam completely.
With the bucket in this position it is possible to pick up and carry beams, tear out tree stumps, pick up large rocks, pull out fence posts, and get that last one-half yard of material that would ordinarily require manual shoveling.

Dumping
The 4-in-1 bucket may be dumped in the usual manner by rolling the bucket forward or by opening the clam, Opening the clam ("bottom dumping"), provides extra clearance and a clean bucket every time.

RETURN-TO-DIG
The loader bucket may be returned automatically to the digging position after the load has been dumped. This enables the operator to concentrate on maneuvering the machine and thus permits faster cycle times.
After the bucket has been dumped, push the lift control lever forward into the float position and pull the tilt control lever back into the rollback detent position. The bucket will lower and rollback to the digging position automatically.
At the end of the cycle, the tilt control lever will release automatically from the detented position and will return to HOLD. However, the lift control lever must be manually pulled back out of the forward float position.
CAIJTIONI
DO NOT hold the tilt control lever into the rollback detent position when the bucket is rolled back. Damage to the solenoid may result.
