Parking Brake Adjustment
FUEL INJECTORS - The injectors deliver the fuel to the combustion chambers in a predetermined spray pattern. The fuel used to lubricate each injector is return to the fuel tank through return lines.
Priming The Fuel System
The fuel system must be primed if air enters the system as a result of:
1. Engine running out of fuel.
2. Parts removed for service or repairs.
3. Engine stored for a considerable period of time.
To prime the system, fill the tank and open the fuel shutoff. Open the bleed screw on the first stage filter. Operate the band primer. Close bleed valve when clean fuel appears. Open the bleed valve on the second stage filter. Operate the band primer. Close bleed valve when clear fuel appears.
NOTE: Tighten hand primer pump handle securely before operating the engine.
Start the engine. If roughness or missing is detected, bleed each injector line starting with number one by "cracking" open the tube nut at the injector.
