This guide contains and explains all service measures prescribed by CASE which must be carried out by dealer and/or customer to ensure the machine’s long term serviceability. Please read the guide and the operator’s manual carefully. A CASE Dealer will help you with any questions.

The guide gives information on :

Pre-delivery inspection This chapter lists the number of points the CASE Dealer has to check before the machine is delivered to the customer.

Once all these points have been checked, the CASE Dealer has to stamp and sign the page concerned to certify that the inspection was carried out. See the “Pre-delivery“ Section.

Delivering the machine to the customer This chapter contains key information to be explained by a dealer technician concerning safety, servicing and operation of your machine.

NOTE : This explanation DOES NOT replace the operator’s manual. The operator’s manual contains in-depth procedures on the safe operation, adjustment and service of a CASE machine.

Once the transfer of the machine to you has been completed, the dealer technician should stamp and sign the corresponding page and also obtain your signature to certify all the necessary instructions and explanations have been given.

Service and inspection schedules This chapter covers the following: 1 Service and inspection operations which must imperatively be carried out during the first 250 operating hours following delivery of the machine.

2 An after delivery inspection must be carried out by the CASE Dealer once the machine has completed 250 operating hours. The CASE Dealer has to stamp and sign the page concerned to certify that the inspection has been carried out. See the “Servicing/Inspection“ Section.

3 All subsequent current service operations can be carried out either by the CASE Dealer or the customer. Once the service and inspection operation is completed, the relevant service record should be completed. See the “Service records“ Section.

4 For warranty conditions to be fulfilled, the main inspection scheduled for every 1000 operating hours must be carried out by the CASE Dealer. After each main inspection operation and in order for the warranty to remain valid, the service record should be stamped and signed by the CASE Dealer. See the “Service Records“ Section.

Check the air intake line clamps and collars for tightness between the air filter and the engine.

Make sure the batteries are correctly charged and check the electrolyte level. Recharge the batteries if necessary.

Hydraulic circuit

Check the oil level in the reservoir. Add oil if necessary.

When delivering the machine to the customer, the CASE Dealer has to give full information on all points concerning safety and the operation and maintenance of CASE machines.

THE DEALER SHOULD DRAW SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE WARRANTY CONDITIONS !

The dealer is invited to make delivery in conformance with the instructions listed below and those given in the operator’s manual. The technician should tick each box accordingly and, once finished, he should stamp page 15 and sign along with the customer.

NOTE : This explanation DOES NOT replace the operator’s manual. The operator’s manual contains in-depth explanations of procedures for operating, adjusting and servicing this CASE machine in complete safety.

1. Safety - Importance of - Understanding safety/warning symbols and safety regulations.

- Not removing protective shields and decals.

- Learning and practising the operation of machine in a safe, clear area prior to using the machine for the first time.

- Turning the engine off and removing the key before starting any maintenance work.

- Turning the engine off, removing the key and raising the function cancellation lever before leaving the machine.

- Studying the machine’s load chart and the instructions given in the operator’s manual before undertaking any mechanical handling with the machine.

- Never operating any travel or function controls without being properly seated in the operator’s seat.

- Keeping the machine in good condition, by regularly reading the hourmeter to ensure that service and inspection schedules are met.
