PH08311 Strike the front part (2) of the locking pin assembly and then alternately the rear (1) and front (2) parts until the assembly slots into the adaptor.
PH08307 Check that the locking pin assembly (1) is in the right position. The front part (2) of the assembly should be fully engaged in the adaptor nose.
TEETH AND TOOTH TIP WEAR LIMITS
NOTE: Do not wait for teeth or tooth tips to be completely worn through before changing them. IMPORTANT: Never try to work with a missing tooth tip or a tooth tip which is worn through. The adaptor could be seriously damaged.
PH08307 The degree to which teeth or tooth tips are worn can be assessed visually. It is possible to extend the life of teeth or tooth tips which are wearing unevenly, in a non-symmetrical fashion. Interchange and turn over the teeth regularly. Turn over the locking pin too.

REPLACING A BACKHOE BUCKET
Removal
STEP 1
Place the bucket flat on flat, horizontal ground. Operate the attachment controls so that the dipper/bucket linkage pin is not gripped by the weight of the dipper.
STEP 2
Stop the engine and remove the starter switch key.
STEP 3
Installation
STEP 1
Install the linkage seals on the bucket bushing shoulders. Change them if necessary.
STEP 2
Start the engine. Move the dipper into its housing. Stop the engine and remove the starter switch key.
STEP 3
CP99A034 Remove the retaining rings and pins and then remove the bucket linkage pins.
STEP 4

Start the engine.
STEP 5
Disengage the attachment from the bucket and retain the linkage seals for reuse.
CP99A034 Install the dipper/bucket linkage pin and the retaining pins and rings.
STEP 4
Start the engine. Extend the bucket cylinder rod to bring it into its housing. Stop the engine and remove the starter switch key. TRIM THIS EDGE
