Disengaging the brakes

DISENGAGING THE BRAKES

In the event of an engine failure and the machine must be moved, it is necessary to disengage manually the brake located at the centre of the transmission housing. Proceed with the disengagement, as follows:

Tooling required:

-Allen wrench, 8 mm; -Wrench, 19 mm; -2 brake disengagement screws, M12x28x40 (P/N 380001315); -2 spacers 28x12x4.

WARNING The brakes, mechanically disengaged, are inoperative. Prior to starting the brake disengagement operation, implement all the precautions required to secure the machine.

-Using the Allen wrench, loosen the two plugs (T) on the brake assembly on the rear side of the machine.

Note – During the last three or four turns (brake disengagement phase) the screws get tighter, thus, actuate the two screws alternatively, until the brake disengagement is completed.
