Description of function: Filling instructions
Safety function
1.
Connect filling hose with the quick release coupling installed in parallel with the hydraulic cylinder of the threshing drum variator.
2.
Connect the other end of the filling hose with the filling connection (F) at the half-track valve block.
3.
Open venting valve (607) by approx. a quarter to a half turn and hold drain hose into a suitable container.
4.
Start diesel engine and engage threshing mechanism.
5.
Increase threshing drum speed until the oil escapes from the drain hose on bleed valve (607) without bubbles.
6.
Close vent valve (607).
7.
Actuate speed increase of threshing drum. Set a filling pressure of 105 bar using a pressure gauge.

Reduce threshing drum speed

Stop diesel engine and remove filling hose. If the pressure in the system rises disproportionately due to a sudden mechanical load on the track roller unit, the ram rod seal of hydraulic cylinder (371) provides a safety function. In case of a massive excess pressure, this pressure is relieved at the ram rod seals. The oil contained in the system will leak out at this spot at the hydraulic cylinder. Important! The rubber track tension hydraulic cylinder (371) cannot be repaired. The hydraulic cylinder must not be opened. If damaged, this cylinder must be replaced.
