MEASURING PISTON - LINER CLEARANCE

– Measure the piston's diameter (See: "Measuring the piston skirt"). – Measure the liner bore on a plane parallel to the piston pin (A) and (B), and at 90° in respect of the piston pin (C) and (D). – Compare A, B, C and D to determine whether the liner is conical or oval. – Compare the inner diameter of the liner with the external diameter of the piston skirt. Change the piston and liner if the values exceed those specified. Values indicated: Liner inner diameter..........................106,48-106,52 mm Maximum out-of-roundness at top of liner ..........0,05 mm Maximum taper at top of liner .............................0,05 mm Piston - Cylinder liner clearance ...............0,08-0,15 mm 121hsm44
