Thehydrauliccontrolunithasbeenmanufacturedinaccordance withthestateoftheartandgenerallyrecognizedsafetystandards andregulations.However,acertainriskremainswhichmightget youintohazardoussituationswhenworkingwithoronthehydraulic controlunit.Thesemay,forexample,becausedbyunforeseeable externalinfluences,machinedamageoroperatingerrors.
Inadditiontothisoperatingmanual,alsobesuretoobservethe respectivelegalprovisionsandregulationsforaccidentpreventionin yourcountry.

Thetrainingshallbematchedtothetypeofcontrolactuallyused. Thecontentoftheoperatingmanual,especiallythechapteron safety,shallconstituteapartofthistraining.
Theyshallpossessandfurnishproofofadequatefamiliaritywiththe mechanical, hydraulic,and controlsystems.
Repair
Ingeneral,repairworkshallbeperformedonlybypersonswhohave therespectiveknowledgeandskillstomeetthespecialrequirementsandhavebeenadequatelytrainedintherepairoftheequipment.Repairworkonandoverhaulof controlblocks, directionalvalves, safetycomponents,e.g.pressurereliefvalves,etc. shallbeperformedonlybyCaterpillarservicetechniciansorbyspeciallytrainedpersonneloftheminingcompany.
