1/3 AND 2/3 REAR BENCH SEATBACK TRIM: REMOVAL - REFITTING

REMOVAL 1. REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION Remove: the the the the

centre armrestRear centre armrest: Removal - Refitting (depending on the equipment level), headrestsRear bench seat headrest: Removal - Refitting , bench seat basesRear bench seat base: Removal - Refitting , bench seatbacksRear bench seatback: Removal - Refitting .

Tilt the 1/3 rear bench seatback.

Remove: the bolt(1) , the rear bench seatback supports.

Remove: the bolts(2) , the rear centre armrest bracket(3) , the rear seat headrest guideRear seat headrest guide: Removal - Refitting .

Unclip the trims from the unlocking control of the rear bench seatback.

2. REMOVAL OPERATION 1- 2/3 REAR BENCH SEATBACK COVER

Extract the zip fasteners(4 ) .

Open the zip fasteners.

Remove clip (5 ) .

Lift up the foam of the 2/3 rear bench seatback.

Unclip the clip(6 ) .

Remove: the 2/3 rear bench seat headrest guidesRear bench seat headrest guide: Removal - Refitting , the "cover - foam" assembly of the 2/3 rear bench seatback.

Separate the cover from the 2/3 rear bench seatback foam.

Remove the cover of the 2/3 rear bench seatback.

CAUTION To avoid any risk of damaging the foam, separate the cover from the foam by holding the velcro strips.

2- 1/3 REAR BENCH SEATBACK COVER

Extract the zip fasteners(7 ) .

Open the zip fasteners.

Remove:

the clip(8) ,

the rear bench seat headrest guidesRear bench seat headrest guide: Removal - Refitting ,

the "cover - foam" assembly of the 1/3 rear bench seatback.

Separate the cover from the 1/3 rear bench seatback foam.

Remove the cover of the 1/3 rear bench seatback.

CAUTION To avoid any risk of damaging the foam, separate the cover from the foam by holding the velcro strips.

REFITTING 1. REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION

Check that the velcro strips are properly fastened on the foam.

CAUTION To avoid any risk of the cover detaching or any folds in the cover, check that the velcro strips are secure on the foam. If the velcro strip tears, replace the foam.

2. REFITTING OPERATION

Refit the cover of the rear bench seatback on the foam.

Check that there are no folds in the cover.

Refit:

the "cover - foam" assembly of the rear bench seatback,

the rear bench seat headrest guidesRear bench seat headrest guide: Removal - Refitting .

1- 2/3 REAR BENCH SEATBACK COVER

Clip on the clip(6 ) .

Refit the clips(5 ) .

Close the zip fasteners.

Fit the zip fasteners(4 ) .

1- 1/3 REAR BENCH SEATBACK COVER

Refit the clip(8 ) .

Close the zip fasteners.

Fit the zip fasteners(7 ) .

3. FINAL OPERATION

Refit:

the trims from the unlocking control of the rear bench seatback,

the rear seat headrest guideRear seat headrest guide: Removal - Refitting ,

the rear centre armrest bracket(3) ,

the bolts(2) ,

the rear bench seat supports,

the bolt(1) .

Refit:

the rear centre armrestRear centre armrest: Removal - Refitting ,

the bolts(2) ,

the trim of the rear centre seat belt strap guide,

Torque tighten the bolts of the rear bench seat supports35 N.m.

Refit:

the rear bench seatbacksRear bench seatback: Removal - Refitting ,

the rear bench seat basesRear bench seat base: Removal - Refitting ,

the rear headrestsRear bench seat headrest: Removal - Refitting ,

the rear centre armrestRear centre armrest: Removal - Refitting (depending on the equipment level).

3RD BRAKE LIGHT: REMOVAL - REFITTING

REMOVAL 1. REMOVAL OPERATION

Open the boot lid.

Insert a flat-blade screwdriver at(1 ) .

Unclip the high-level brake light by pressing on the clips in the direction of the arrows(2 ) and (3 ) .

Pull the top of the high-level brake light.

Unclip the high-level brake light connector(4 ) .

Remove the high-level brake light.

REFITTING 1. REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION

Note: If the LEDs are faulty, replace the complete high-level brake light.

2. REFITTING OPERATION

Connect the high-level brake light connector.

Clip the high-level brake light onto the rear parcel shelf trim.

ACCELERATOR PEDAL: REMOVAL - REFITTING

WARNING To avoid all risk of damage to the systems, apply the safety and cleanliness instructions and operation recommendations before carrying out any repair:

REMOVAL 1. REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION

Switch off the ignition.

2. OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART CONCERNED

Disconnect the accelerator pedal potentiometer connector(1 ) .

Remove:

the accelerator pedal bolts(2) ,

the accelerator pedal.

REFITTING -3-

1. REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART CONCERNED

Refit:

the accelerator pedal,

the accelerator pedal bolts.

Torque tighten the accelerator bolts8 N.m.

Connect the accelerator pedal potentiometer connector.

ACCESSORIES BELT: REMOVAL - REFITTING

REMOVAL 1. REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION

CAUTION Wear protective gloves during the operations.

Position the vehicle on a two-post liftVehicle: Towing and lifting (02A, Lifting equipment).

Remove:

the front right-hand wheelWheel: Removal - Refitting (35A, Wheels and tyres),

the front right-hand wheel arch linerFront wheel arch liner: Removal - Refitting (55A, Exterior protection).

Remove the support bolts(1 ) .

Unclip the air conditioning pipe from its clip(2 ) .

Remove the support(3 ) .

Loosen the lock nut(4 ) of the pulley.

Turn the tension adjusting bolt(5 ) and loosen the accessories belt(6 ) .

Remove the accessories belt(6 ) .

REFITTING 1. REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION

2. REFITTING OPERATION

Torque tighten the lock nut of the pulley (initial torque)4 N.m.

Fit the new accessories belt.

Turn the tension adjusting bolt(7 ) of the accessories belt to adjust the belt tension.

Note: When using a tension measuring or frequency measuring tension meter while the engine is cold, the standard technical values for the accessories belt are as follows:

Note: When a force(8 ) of 98 Nis applied with the tension meter while the engine is cold, the standard contraction values of the accessories belt are as follows:

Accessories belt being used:

4.8 - 5.3 mm

New accessories belt:

4.1 - 4.4 mm

8.2 mm

Torque tighten the lock nut of the pulley35 N.m.

Turn the crankshaft twice so that the accessories belt is positioned correctly and adjust the tension again.

3. FINAL OPERATION

Refit the support(3 ) .

Clip the air conditioning pipe onto its clip(2 ) .

Refit the support bolts(1 ) .

Torque tighten the support bolts8 N.m.

Refit:

the front right-hand wheel arch linerFront wheel arch liner: Removal - Refitting (55A, Exterior protection),

the front right-hand wheelWheel: Removal - Refitting (35A, Wheels and tyres).

ADDITIONAL FUEL SYSTEM PUMP: REMOVAL - REFITTING

Note, one or more warnings are present in this procedure

WARNING During this operation, be sure to:

refrain from smoking or bringing red hot objects close to the working area,

be careful of fuel splashes when disconnecting the union.

CAUTION To avoid any corrosion or damage, protect the areas on which fuel is likely to run.

REMOVAL 1. REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION

Disconnect the batteryBattery: Removal - Refitting (MR 364, 80A, Battery).

Remove the scuttle panel grilleScuttle panel grille: Removal - Refitting (MR 365, 56A, Exterior equipment).

2. OPERATION FOR REMOVAL OF PART CONCERNED

Disconnect the connector(1 ) from the additional fuel system fuel pump.

Unclip the additional fuel system fuel pump(2 ) from the additional fuel system tank.

Loosen the fuel pipe clip(3 ) on the additional fuel system fuel pump.

Disconnect the fuel pipe from the additional fuel system fuel pump.

REFITTING 1. REFITTING PREPARATIONS OPERATION

Always replace:

the clip for the fuel pipe on the additional fuel system fuel pump.

the additional fuel system fuel pump seal.

2. REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART CONCERNED

Connect the fuel pipe to the additional fuel system fuel pump.

Tighten the new fuel pipe clip on the additional fuel system fuel pump.

Clip the additional fuel system fuel pump onto the additional fuel system tank.

Connect the additional fuel system fuel pump connector.

3. FINAL OPERATION.

Refit the scuttle panel grilleScuttle panel grille: Removal - Refitting (MR 365, 56A, Exterior equipment).

Connect the batteryBattery: Removal - Refitting (MR 364, 80A, Battery).
