Telescoping emergency program
Telescoping with folded lattice extension
Additional operating elements
When the Telescoping emergency program is switched on, the swing-away lattice does not swing automatically before and after telescoping.
GRisk of accidents due to the swing-away lattice falling!
Before telescoping, always look on the emergency programme to ensure that the swing-away lattice is in telescoping position.
This way you will prevent telescoping parts from colliding with the swingaway lattice, brackets from coming off and the swing-away lattice from falling down.
• Always check the current position of the swing-away lattice before telescoping via an emergency program.
(A) – Telescoping position
When the swing-away lattice is in telescoping position, you can telescope the main boom.
(B) – Rigging position
When the swing-away lattice is in rigging position, you must swing it into telescoping position (A) before telescoping.
Operating elements for swinging
You can swing the swing-away lattice with the hand-held control on all GMK6300L; à Lattice extension operating manual
If the operating elements (1) to (3) are located in the submenu Telescoping emergency program, you can also swing the swing-away lattice from the crane cab.

Checks before telescoping
• Externally inspect the truck crane to see if the swing-away lattice is in telescoping position.
• If telescoping is blocked, check whether the symbol (1) is red.
If the symbol is red, then telescoping is blocked because the drive of the hose drum cannot be switched on automatically.
In this case, you can try switching the drive on with the hand-held control; à Lattice extension operating manual.
If the drive still cannot be switched on, then contact Manitowoc Crane Care

1.3 Warranty specifications
To the client (“customer”) of every machine manufactured by Manitowoc, the Manitowoc Crane Group (“Manitowoc”) guarantees error-free material and problem-free processing, provided the machine has been used and maintained as prescribed. The permissible, general warranty period for all new machines is twelve (12) months from its startup, 2.400 operating hours or sixteen (16) months from its dispatch by Manitowoc, depending on which of the conditions is fulfilled first. The permissible extended structure warranty period for crane welding designs (main boom parts, vehicle chassis, lattice extensions, supports, turntables) marked by Manitowoc is five (5) years from their dispatch by Manitowoc, provided the machine has been used only for lift crane applications.
The warranty claim is applicable only if the customer informs Manitowoc or an authorised dealer about the defect in writing within sixty (60) days after the first defect and not later than thirty (30) days after the permissible warranty period has expired. Furthermore, the procedure regarding the warranty period of the customer must comply with the warranty claim procedure prescribed by Manitowoc.
The obligation of Manitowoc against the customer is exclusively for repairs or replacement of products or parts which Manitowoc has classified as defective as regards the material or the processing in sole discretion. Manitowoc can send products or parts back to a plant for inspection and analysis; the costs of the freight must be paid by the customer in advance. Manitowoc pays the relevant freight and labour costs arising from the authorised repairs of any new machine within the permissible warranty period. However, transport and labour costs arising due to returned but error-free products or parts have to be borne by the customer. Every repaired or replaced product or part is subject to only the remaining warranty period of the machine.
