Correction sheet
Possible reeving methods on the main boom
Contrary to the information specified in the operating manual, therearecorrected hoist rope reevings on the main boom for the GMK6300L/GMK6300L-1 truck crane.
Only reeve the hoist rope as described/illustrated in this correction sheet.
It is important that you still observe all notes and safety instructions regarding rigging work on the main boom in the operating manual supplied.

Additional page Outrigger span monitoring
Unlike the specifications in the supplied operating manual, the outrigger span is monitored using corresponding equipment. You must check the outrigger span when entering the rigging mode. Checking the outrigger span
The displays are based on the RCL control unit.
Version 1
The display is identical for all outrigger beams(1).
• Check the displays (2).
(A) – Only one display is lit. The required outrigger span is rigged.
(B) – A second display also flashes. The required outrigger span is not rigged.
• Rig the required outrigger span
(C) – All points flash.
The current outrigger span is not permissible.
An error message; à p.2, is displayed for B and C
Version 2
The display is identical for all outrigger beams(1).
• Check the display (2).
(A) – The display is lit. The required outrigger span is rigged.
(B) – The display flashes.
The required outrigger span is not rigged.
• Rig the required outrigger span, e.g. D.
(C) – No display
The current outrigger span is not permissible. An error message; à p.2, is displayed for B and C after applying the rigging code.
Error messages A shutdown is not initiated as standard when an outrigger span monitoring error message is issued. The error message can be supplemented by the shutdown as necessary.
SRisk of accidents due to incorrectly supported truck crane! When one of the following error message appears, compare the rigged outrigger span with the required outrigger span and rig the required outrigger span.
This prevents the truck crane from tilting due to an outrigger span that istoo low.

Telescoping emergency program

Additional operating elements
When the Telescoping emergency program is switched on, the swing-away lattice does not swing automatically before and after telescoping.
GRisk of accidents due to the swing-away lattice falling!
Before telescoping, always look on the emergency programme to ensure that the swing-away lattice is in telescoping position.
This way you will prevent telescoping parts from colliding with the swingaway lattice, brackets from coming off and the swing-away lattice from falling down.
• Always check the current position of the swing-away lattice before telescoping via an emergency program.
(A) – Telescoping position
When the swing-away lattice is in telescoping position, you can telescope the main boom.
(B) – Rigging position
When the swing-away lattice is in rigging position, you must swing it into telescoping position (A) before telescoping.
Operating elements for swinging
You can swing the swing-away lattice with the hand-held control on all GMK6300L; à Lattice extension operating manual
If the operating elements (1) to (3) are located in the submenu Telescoping emergency program, you can also swing the swing-away lattice from the crane cab.

Swinging the swing-away lattice
• Check the current status of the swing-away lattice and swing the swingaway lattice into the required position.
Swinging in telescoping position
• Press the button (2) – the tilt cylinder extends.
• Keep the button pressed until the swingaway lattice is in telescoping position.
• Externally inspect the truck crane to see if the telescoping sections can move freely.
Swinging in rigging position
• Press the button (1) – the tilt cylinder retracts.
• Keep the button pressed until the swingaway lattice is located in rigging position.
• Externally inspect the truck crane to see if the swing-away lattice is fully folded.
Checks before telescoping
• Externally inspect the truck crane to see if the swing-away lattice is in telescoping position.
• If telescoping is blocked, check whether the symbol (1) is red.
If the symbol is red, then telescoping is blocked because the drive of the hose drum cannot be switched on automatically.
In this case, you can try switching the drive on with the hand-held control; à Lattice extension operating manual.
