This additional page applies to all cranes of the type GMK 5100 and is an integral part of the supplied operating manual of your truck crane.

Note

As opposed to conventional automatic gearboxes, the shifting point of the starting gear has been changed for the gear box with automatic gear change.

If you select the starting gear with the control lever, it will be shown in the Gearbox control display.

The gear will only be engaged if you operate the accelerator. This can lead to the truck crane starting to move unexpectedly if the parking brake has not been engaged.

This additional page is supplementary to the procedural instructions in the operating manual of the above-named truck crane types.

Danger from unexpected rolling!

Also apply the parking brake before starting on sloping ground. The gear will only be engaged after you step on the accelerator. This can lead to the truck crane starting to roll (also backwards) while you are moving your foot from the brake pedal to the accelerator.

To start moving, you have to: – – – –

Engage the parking brake (see note above) Select a starting gear Actuate the accelerator (now the clutch will engage) After the gear is engaged (the motor sound changes), release the parking brake

• As the crane operator, you have to inform everyone who works with your GMK 5100 about this modification.
