Theshieldhasbeenmanufacturedinaccordancewiththestateof theartandgenerallyrecognizedsafetystandardsandregulations. However,acertainriskremainswhichmightgetyouintohazardous situationswhenworkingwithorontheshields.Thesemay,for example,becausedbyunforeseeableexternalinfluences,machine damageoroperatingerrors.
Inadditiontothisoperatingmanual,alsobesuretoobservethe respectivelegalprovisionsandregulationsforaccidentprevention inyourcountry.

Operationandmaintenanceoftheshieldsisonlyallowedtobeperformedbytrainedpersonnel.
Thetrainingshallbematchedtothetypeofshieldactuallyused. Theelectrohydraulicandhydrauliccontrolsystemsshallbe operatedonlybypersonnelwhohavebeenadequatelytrainedtooperatethepresentcontrolsystem.Thecontentofthe operatingmanual,especiallythechapteronsafety,shallconstituteapartofthis training.
Theyshallpossessandfurnishproofofadequatefamiliaritywith the
J mechanical, J hydraulic,and J controlsystems.
