1. E THE PROPEL GEAR GUARDS FROM THE GEAR WHICH E ROTATED.

2. MATC MARK THE MAIN PROPEL GEAR AND GEAR HUB AT TWO PLAC S EACH TO IDENTIFY 180 0 OF ROTATION OF PROPEL GEAR RELA IVE TO STATIONARY GEAR HUB.

2. MATC MARK THE MAIN PROPEL GEAR AND GEAR HUB AT TWO PLAC S EACH TO IDENTIFY 180 0 OF ROTATION OF PROPEL GEAR RELA IVE TO STATIONARY GEAR HUB.

3. USE TE INDEPENDENT SHOE MOVE CONTROL TO ROTATE MAIN PROP L SHAFT ASSEMBLY TOWARD REAR OF MACHINE UNTIL SHOE FIRMLY CONTACTS GROUND.

4. TEMP RARIL Y WELD TWO STOPS TO EDGE OF OUTBOARD BEAR NG, ALLOWING APPROXIMATELY .25 INCH CLEARANCE WITH SIDE OF GEAR RIM TO PREVENT POSSIBLE DRIFTING OF GEAR TOWARD OUTBOARD BEARING.

4. TEMP RARIL Y WELD STOPS TO EDGE OF OUTBOARD BEAR NG, ALLOWING APPROXIMATELY .25 INCH CLEARANCE WITH OF GEAR RIM TO PREVENT DRIFTING OF GEAR TOWARD

5. RAIS OR LOWER WALKING SHOE AS REQUIRED TO ACCESS PROP L GEAR MOUNTING BOLTS AND MOVE ALL OF THEM OUT OF E GAGEMENT WITH GEAR HUB. FOUR BOLTS ENGAGED ARE ADEQ ATE FOR RAISING OR LOWERING THE WALKING SHOE BEFO E GROUND CONTACT.

5. RAIS OR LOWER SHOE AS REQUIRED TO ACCESS PROP L GEAR MOUNTING AND ALL OF THEM OUT OF GAGEMENT WITH HUB. FOUR BOLTS ENGAGED ARE ADEQ ATE FOR THE WALKING SHOE BEFO E GROUND CONTACT.

6. PRY HE PROPEL GEAR SIDEWAYS SLIGHTLY TO ENSURE THAT GEAR IS NOT "FROZEN" TO HUB.

7. USE HE INDEPENDENT SHOE MOVE CONTROL TO DRIVE THE MAIN PROPEL GEAR IN THE SAME DIRECTION AS IN STEP #3 UNTI THE GEAR HAS ROTATED 180 0 RELATIVE TO THE GEAR HUB.

7. USE HE INDEPENDENT SHOE MOVE CONTROL TO DRIVE THE MAIN PROPEL GEAR SAME DIRECTION AS IN STEP #3 UNTI THE GEAR HAS ROTATED 180 0 RELATIVE TO THE GEAR HUB.

8. REM UNT GEAR TO HUB, REMOVE TEMPORARY STOPS, AND ROTA E SHOE BACK UP INTO PARK POSITION WITH INDE ENDENT SHOE CONTROL.
