The CAT SH150 Shield Trailer is used for transporting longwall roof supports and can be fitted with optional attachments.
Before operating the trailer for the first time, all personnel who are to be involved in the operation and maintenance of the equipment must be fully trained in the operation, and the incorporated safety requirements of the machine, and must have read and fully understood the operating instructions.
You must not use this equipment for any purpose that may put yourself or others at risk or in danger.
The equipment must not be used for any purpose other than that for which it is intended, i.e. transporting longwall roof supports.
You must not operate this equipment unless you have been fully trained and have been authorised to do so.
All personnel should be competent and authorised to perform maintenance tasks required for the plant’s operation.
The equipment must be maintained in a safe and functional condition.
The plant equipment should not be returned to service until all faults are rectified.
Overloading or misuse of equipment can cause personal injury, death or equipment damage. Due to the machine’s configuration or options the stated load capacities can vary up to 20%. Caterpillar recommends that relevant community safety standards, practices and government regulations are observed when operating this equipment. Only trained, authorised and competent personnel should operate and/or service this equipment.

GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
The CAT SH150 Shield Trailer is a 50 ton capacity trailer fitted with a swiveling 5th wheel adaptor or a knuckle type swivel adaptor for towing, spring applied hydraulic release braked wheel hubs, four lift cylinders, a hydraulically driven winch , power assist hydraulic motors and two eject cylinders.
The SH150 has three shield width options, the standard (1750mm shield), 2000mm shield and the wide (2200mm shield).
