- Use lubricant of NLGI No. 00-0 or 1 lviain timer should be adjusted for 20M.lubrica:bion cycle for regular shovel operation. Air regulator to pneumatic pump should be set f 0r ap2roximately 50 psi. gauge pressure. This can be increased for faster system operation or for oper3tion in extreme cold temperatures.
- Check injector assemblies for proper operation - wee'.dy or whenever possible as follows:
l"' Operate system by manual control of time clock.
- Close hand valve in mainline when pump stalls
- iiake visual check of injecto:r assemblies

2o Open mainline valve to relieve pressure in system and bleed air from pump

NOTE: Remove and replace any injector wherein the pin does not move both in and out im the lubrication cycle c
- Check for leaking or damaged bearing ljnes once each week or whenever possible.
- Correct any fault immediately to prevent serious bearing failure o
To decrease amount of lubricant discharged from any injector, loosen lock nut on top of injector body, turn jndicator pin retainer in, which reduces travel of disc 11drge piston. Tighten lock nuto

Served by Upper Frame pump and control panel through manual connection by hose and quick connect couplings to mainline connections on roller circle.

- Close Valve in main grease line to upper frame and boom system.
- Open Valve in main grease line which is run by hose to understructure at right rear of upper frameo
- Connect mainline grease hose by quick ccmnect coupling from point beneath upper frame to any one of five connections on the roller circle systemo
- Operate pump manually by push button switch on understructure at rear of upper frameo Hold push button switch in contract until pump stallso .
- Release push button so that system can vent excess pressure back to reservoir. Allow 15 seconds for venting of system.
- Disconnect hose quick coupling, replacing· caps and plugs on the quick coupling parts. Close mainline valve which serves roller circle and lower frame supply hose. Open mainline valve to upper frame and boom system. Upper frame and boom will again be served by full automatic control.
?WTE: Upper frame must be stationary during the time required to serve the roller circle and lower frame systems. Manual connection cannot be made when upper frame of shovel is moving in mormal operationo
To check injector operation, follow proceedure as outlined for Upper Frame and Boom system. (Page 2)o Pump operation can be controlled by manual means through the time clock .or push button switch on understructure of upper frameo

LOWER FRAME AND ChAVil...ERS SYSTEM
System should be served at four hour intervals
Pump to cycle (Pressure and Vent) four times each service.
Served by upper frame pump and control panel through manual connection by hose quick couplings to mainline coru1ections located on lower frame structure - left rear of machine.
OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
Close valve in main grease line to upper frame and boom system. Open valve in main grease line which is run by hose to understructure at right rear of upper
- Connect mainline grease hose from upper frame by quick connect coupling to the one mainline connection located on lower frame structure - left rear of machine.
- Operate pump manually by push button switch located on understructure at right rear of upper frame. Hold push button switch in contact until pump stalls.
- Release push button switch so that system c3n vent excess pressure back to reservoir. Allow 15 seconds for venting of system.
- Disconnect hose quick coupling, replacing cap and on the quick coupling parts. Cl8se ma:i:nline valve whicb serves lower frame and roller circle supply hose. Open mainline v2lve to upper frame and booffi system. Upper fr&.r.ne and boom will be served by full automatic control.
NOTE: Upper frame must be statio;-iary during the time required to serve the roller circle and lower frame system=
