Thank you for supporting our annual Frontier Toyota/Henry Mayo Golf Classic. For 50 years, this tournament has provided significant funds for our Foundation that directly support emergency and trauma services. Frontier Toyota has been our Title Sponsor for 27 years, and we are so grateful to have the new owner Aman Abraham continue the commitment to our hospital. We’d like to Thank all of our sponsors who are the backbone of this event, especially the Ullman Foundation, Luechtefeld Group-Morgan Stanley, Vituity, Comfort Keepers-In Home Care, Bernards. We appreciate all who came to enjoy a day of golf at Valencia Country Club while supporting a very important cause!

This tournament was founded to raise funds to build the hospital and continues today in playing a key role in providing our emergency and trauma team the necessary recourse to meet the growing demand. Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital’s emergency department is really the “front door” of the hospital. It is open 24/7 and always ready to serve the community. Over 67,000 people came through the ED last year. As a Level II Trauma Center, Emergency Department approved for pediatrics and STEMI and Stroke Receiving Center our staff and providers have advanced training to care for all patients.

One fun way to support our Emergency Services is to buy a golf ball for our Helicopter Ball Drop. This is the most exciting contest that takes place during the Golf Classic. At 3 p.m. you will watch as Wayne Spears flies his helicopter and drops 1,800 golf balls toward a target hole. One lucky winner can win a grand prize of $50,000.

The philanthropy from our community and Corporate Partners has been vital to our expansion of programs and patient services. Recently, the hospital started construction on the final phase of the Patient Tower with the buildout of our new Surgical Center including the Richard and Marian Sandnes Pre and Post Anesthesia Care Unit and four new surgical suites set to open in the near future.

For 50 years, this tournament has provided significant funds for our Foundation that directly support emergency and trauma services.
