What is Prefab? Prefabrication is the practice of assembling components of a structure in a manufacturing site and transporting complete assemblies or sub-assemblies to the construction site where the structure is to be located and permanently installed.
ERIC OPSTEDAHL | PREFAB MANAGER Prefab can help to increase efficiency, decrease time frames, reduce cost, waste, and safety incidents. It’s been an eventful quarter in Prefab. We’ve managed to surpass 500 deliveries not including pass through requests in the warehouse while keeping up with our 95.77% OTD. Shout out to our top Superintendent, Chris Card, PM, Mike Roeder, and PE, Demarkes Delouth for sending in the most work! Thank you for keeping our crews busy. While keeping up with Prefab, we also acquired the Tool Department, which is now coordinated by Jim McDaniel. New requirements were emailed out that included updated request forms and a consumables catalog. A complete tool catalog is currently under construction and will hopefully be unveiled by the end of 2021. Joining the forces of Prefab, Warehouse and Tools, will surely contribute to streamlining processes and deliveries to help save our project teams time and money.
