In January of 2022, HEIROL has signed an agreement to join environmental organization ChemSec’s NO TO PFAS movement – an attempt to reduce and stop the usage of fluorinated chemicals (PFAS), such as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, also known as forever chemicals.
As an advocate for sustainability, HEIROL has partnered with WWF (World Wildlife Fund), been at the forefront of switching all frying pan and cake form coatings PFAS-free, and was the first to introduce ceramic coatings in Finland.
Choosing a long-lasting product is good for everyone, especially nature. Rather than buying yet another pan every year, purchasing a proper, long-lasting, and high-quality pan is far more ecological for the planet, and your wallet.

CAKE BASE:
Preheat the oven to 175 °C. Prepare two cake pans, which have a diameter of about 16cm. Melt the butter and let it cool down. Whip the eggs, sugar, and muscovado sugar into a light-colored fluffy foam. Add butter and vanilla sugar, and mix lightly. Mix together the flour, baking powder, soda, and cinnamon. Add the mix to the foam through a strainer and mix carefully into an even batter. Peel the carrots and grate them with a fine grater. Crush the nuts. Mix the grated carrots, crushed nuts, and apple sauce into the batter. Split the batter evenly into your cake forms. Bake in the oven for 40-45 min
FROSTING:
Whisk the butter until light in color. Add cream cheese and mix into an even batter. Add powdered sugar and vanilla sugar, and continue whisking for a moment. If the frosting seems too loose, put it in the fridge until you’ll use it.
COMPILING THE CAKE:
Cut the cake bases in half, so that you have 4 thinner bases. Place the first base layer on the cake stand. Spread an even layer of frosting on top of it. Repeat this process with three of the cake layers. The top/4th layer should be placed on top of the cake with the uncut side facing up. Spread the rest of the frosting on the sides and top of the cake. Sprinkle coconut flakes on top, as much as you like! If needed, press the flakes down with the palm of your hand so that the flakes stick on. Decorate with fake flowers or whatever you feel like using for decorating!

Preheat the oven to 175 °C. Butter and flour the cake tin with all-purpose flour. Mix the egg, milk and vegetable oil. Mix all the dry ingredients and add them into the dough through a sieve. Pour the dough into the tin and bake in the middle of the oven for about 25 minutes.
Mix all the ingredients for the icing and pour the icing on the cooled cakes.

Preheat the oven to 220 °C and place the savoury pie crust in the mini pie tins. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
Cook the bacon in a pan until crisp and golden brown. Place the bacon on a paper towel to remove some of the grease. When the bacon has cooled lightly, chop it into small pieces. Mix together the egg, blue cheese and cream with a pinch of salt and pepper. Put the egg mixture and bacon pieces in the pie forms.
Cut the pear into thin slices and place them on top in a round shape. Chop the walnuts and add on top with the rosemary. Place back in the oven for around 10 minutes.
Tip! Replace the bacon with spinach to make this meat-free!
SALTED CARAMEL GLAZED DONUTS
THE DOUGH:
1 EGG
1 ½ DL MILK
½ DL RAPESEED OIL
3 DL FLOUR
1 DL SUGAR
2 TSP BAKING POWDER
1 TSP CARDAMOM
½ TSP SALT
THE GLAZING:
1 DL WHIPPING CREAM
1 DL BROWN SUGAR
50 G BUTTER
1 DL POWDERED SUGAR
SEA SALT FLAKES ON TOP:
Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Prepare your donut form. In a bowl, mix the egg, milk, and oil. In a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients and use a strainer to add them to the dough. To get perfectly shaped donuts, do not fill the cups all the way to the top.
Bake in the oven for about 8 minutes. Do not over-bake the donuts or they will go dry. Remove the donuts off the form and let them cool down.
Mix the cream, butter and brown sugar in a coated pot. Heat until the mix starts boiling and boil for 2 minutes while keeping the mixture constantly moving. Let the caramel glaze cool down and add the powdered sugar. Dip the donuts into the glaze and drizzle some sea salt flakes on top.

100 G WHITE CHOCOLATE CHIPS (OR PIECES)
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Remove from the heat and add the chocolate pieces to the melted butter. Stir until chocolate is melted. One by one, add sugar, salt, egg and flour. (Tip: you can halve the egg easily by first breaking and mixing it in a measuring container and then pouring only half of it into the sugar, salt and flour mixture. Remember to save the other half for the cookie dough.) Pour the dough into the pan. Pre-bake the base at 200 degrees for 10 minutes.
Beat butter and sugar until frothy. Stir in the egg. Add baking powder and gingerbread seasoning. Stir in the flour in a few batches and finally the chocolate pieces. (Save a small amount of chocolate pieces to put on the surface.) On top of the base, add the cookie dough in nugget-shaped pieces. There is no need to spread out the cookie dough. Continue baking for about 13 minutes. When done, press the rest of the chocolate pieces onto the surface. Let it cool and put it in the fridge until the brookie is completely cold. Cut into squares and enjoy!

Preheat the oven to 180 °C. Peel and mash 3 bananas with a fork, then add the oat milk, oil, and apple sauce. You can also use a blender if you prefer. Roughly chop the dark chocolate. Add the chocolate and remaining ingredients and mix until smooth. Turn into a lined one-liter bread pan. Peel and halve the remaining banana and press it on top of the bread. Bake in the oven for about 50-60 minutes until the dough no longer sticks to a test stick. Let the banana bread cool at room temperature.
Before you want to serve the banana bread, prepare the white chocolate whipped cream. Chop the white chocolate into a bowl and melt it in a microwave or a water bath. Wash an organic lemon and zest it. Pour oat whip cream into a bowl and whip it. Add in the melted white chocolate, oat fraiche, vanilla sugar, a pinch of cardamom, and lemon zest. Whip it another minute until it’s smooth and creamy. Taste it and feel free to add more of the spices according to your liking! Serve the whipped cream in a bowl with the banana bread.

1 TSP OF VANILLA EXTRACT
1 TSP OF GINGER POWDER
330G OF FLOUR
1 TSP OF BAKING SODA POWDERED SUGAR FOR DECORATION
Heat the oven to 180 °C. Mix the butter and sugar into a fluffy foam. Add eggs one by one to the batter. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, vanilla extract, and ginger powder. Add the mix into the batter and mix well. Split the batter into two and place them in the fridge for 15 minutes. Place the cooled down batter in between two baking sheets and use a rolling pin to roll the batters into 3mm thick layers.
Use a star-shaped cookie cutter to separate your gingerbreads and place them on a baking sheet covered baking tray. Bake in the oven for about 8 minutes. Decorate the cooled down gingerbreads with some powdered sugar.
