MEMORABLE MEETING

GOOD EVENING AND WELCOME TO THE GREEN ENERGY SPORTS GROUND FOR TONIGHT'S ISUZU FA TROPHY TIE.

I think it was a very good performance last weekend against Tadcaster. We played well for most of the game we were dangerous going forward, moved well off the ball and were excellent when we got the combinations right. Olly Martin scored two great goals and Amar Purewal looked ruthless so it was a really positive game for the attackers. It was an unlucky injury to pick up at the start of the season. At Brighouse on the opening day, with only five minutes left, I went over on my ankle. I damaged the ligaments in my ankle so I was out for about four weeks. I got back into training last week and got a few minutes at Trafford, so it was nice to get even more game time on Saturday. I’m getting back to where I was before the injury thankfully it healed pretty quickly and I’m raring to go. Tonight will be a tough - Stockton are top of the league. They beat us last month but it was pretty close and we were unlucky not to get something out of it. Hopefully we’ll be pushing for the win tonight in front of a good crowd to get into the next round. Every game is massive for us - if we want to achieve the targets set, we need to take it one game at a time. It doesn’t matter who we play, every game is huge and we want to win.
