Steven is Vice-Chairman of Hebburn Town Juniors, and has worked alongside Durham FA to set up new initiatives such as Women's Just Play, Squad Girls (for ages 11-13) and disability football sessions. He also coaches two U15 teams on a Saturday and Sunday, an U15 futsal team, and an U13 futsal team. Steven has previously assisted with the club's U18s and first-team, and occasionally helps other sides in the Juniors when called upon. Alongside his excellent work at the club, Steven is working on his own coaching journey after completing his UEFA B license. "At first I was shocked, especially at the fact I had multiple nominations, " Steven said after winning the award. "I didn't realise I had such an effect on the game, but I was absolutely overwhelmed when it was announced. "I was in disbelief to be honest because when I first started coaching, I never expected anything like that. "Hebburn Town is a hub for the community - everyone is so friendly and you meet so many new people. "I'm in my 11th year at the club now and I'm really enjoying it. "
