BROOKLYN CITY CENTER

The City of Brooklyn built a new combined City Hall and Police Station on the same site as the recreation center. The project centralizes the existing civic campus. The former City Hall and Police facilities, across the street from the new facility, were demolished to make way for new community amenities. HEAPY provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and technology design services for this new center that serves the city in a better capacity and is one of the largest investments on municipal infrastructure the city has undertaken.

• Locker Rooms with shower and bathroom facilities

• Lobby for public entry for both Police and Court/City Hall

• Public Restrooms

• Council Chambers

• Dispatch Area / Record Room

• Arms and Armor Storage

• Evidence Room and Storage

• Interior parking garage for official vehicles, tactical vehicles, and processing of non-police vehicles

• Jail Holding Facility

• Juvenile Holding

• Impaired Suspect Testing

• City Hall Administrative Offices
