The classroom environment here is small and tight-knit. It’s really amazing because your professor gets to know you one-on-one. You truly develop a relationship with them. We all really do look out for each other and having a professor who cares for you and wants to see you succeed in a class, that’s really important here.

I chose Haverford because it is the best of both worlds. The small student body and smaller class sizes contribute to the close-knit community of Haverford College, but through the various consortiums and engagement with the city of Philadelphia, students are able to have a plethora of opportunities As a double major across the Tri-College Consortium, I definitely enjoy having the opportunities to engage with other college communities and make new friends, while still having this amazing place to call home!

Being a student at Haverford means helping to shape what the institution is, both in the classroom and outside...Haverford is dynamic and always changing to reflect our current values and to be a part of a community like this empowers Haverford students to take action and make change. Haverford students' values and actions shape Haverford. Having this agency as a student is an invaluable experience— one I don't think I would have gotten anywhere else.

Haverford students understand the value and power of their voices to create knowledge, change, and a collaborative and caring environment.
The main thing that I’ve learned from Haverford is to keep exploring and keep expanding my perspective. I’ve learned that through the interdisciplinary nature of the academic programs here, but I’ve also learned it through the students here.
