ABOUT THE HAUT-LAC LEARNING ENVIRONMENT

Ideally located in the heart of the Swiss Riviera, Haut-Lac International Bilingual School is just one hour’s drive from Geneva airport, 30 minutes from the alps and 10 minutes from the famous Lake Geneva.

It’s campuses unite traditional Swiss architecture and the latest in educational technology to provide students with a welcoming, innovative learning environment.

Secondary students aged 13-18 can be found studying mainly on its Roches Grises Campus.

Opened in 2003, this campus features:

Haut-Lac boarders live within walking distance of the school campuses in a modern boarding house overlooking Lake Geneva.

As a community of maximum 32 international students aged 11-18, they benefit from both personalised attention and care AND multicultural discovery.

▶ Power breakfasts, lunches and dinners to boost productivity and energy levels

▶ A dedicated study room to ensure maximum focus during weekend and evening homework time

What do Haut-Lac boarders say?

I had a wonderful time at Haut-Lac, both at the school and at the boarding school. I learned a lot, had excellent experiences and made a ton of new friends. All in all, it was extremely positive for me in all aspects. I think it is a very friendly environment and you can make friends very easily. There are many committees and after-school clubs you can join.

Haut-Lac is a magnificent school. Besides a very strong academic level, it provides the children values and skills that will make them better people.

What is it?

How does the IBCP in hospitality work?

Students aged 16-19:

▶ study 3 academic IB Diploma subjects of their choice from the 30+ available at Haut-Lac

▶ complete a personal & professional skills course, a language development course, a service learning component and a r eflective project at Haut-Lac

▶ follow IB career-related studies in hospitality management, which include:

- 20 weeks of online course study with Les Roches Switzerland from the Haut-Lac School campus

- two optional Hospitality Immersion residential weeks at the Les Roches Switzerland campus in the stunning mountain town of Crans-Montana

▶ An international, multilingual study experience

▶ The chance to get ahead of the competition by kick-starting a career in the hospitality and service-related industries early
