The site in Hartselle, near the Sparkman Civic Center, is centrally located in the county, offers balanced access from throughout the county and offers good access from Interstate 65. The specific location satisfies prime considerations of safety and well-being, ambient environment conducive to a feeling of inclusion, continual oversight by a trained staff, restrooms, drinking water and ample and convenient parking. SNAP is designed to be a destination attraction and features

comprehensive play equipment that satisfies ADA requirements. Comfort and aesthetics are significantly enhanced by shades, seating for adults and abundant landscaping. The complex has been constructed in increments to permit use as funding became available: 2008 – Swing Area 2010 – Splash Pad 2011 – Pavilion 2013 – Main Entrance and Playground A 2016 – Playground B and overall complex enhancements The SNAP Splash Pad was recognized in 2011 by Aquatics International as the Best of Aquatics Spraypark in the nation, typifying the character of the entire complex. HARTSELLE SENIOR CENTER – 406 NANCE FORD ROAD The Hartselle Senior Center welcomes seniors Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until noon. Attendees must be at least 55 years old or attend with a spouse 60 or older. A nutritious lunch is served each day. A daily donation of $1.25 is requested for the meal. Other than joining each other for lunch, the seniors enjoy a variety of activities such as weekly signings, playing cards, working puzzles, quilting, socializing, health screenings, reading books from their library, monthly birthday parties and much more. For anyone who would like to attend but is un-

able to drive, bus service is available. Meals can be delivered to the home-bound. For more information, contact the senior center at 256-773-0786. HARTSELLE AQUATIC CENTER The aquatic center is open and enjoyed from Memorial Weekend until the end of summer. Closed on Mondays this season, the pool is open Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursdays from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. and Sundays from 1-5 p.m ADMISSION: Ages 13+ Ages 6-12 Ages 5 and younger Seniors (62+)
