Summer Nest 2019 Policies and Procedures Dates and Times: Summer Nest is open Monday-Friday, beginning June 3-July 26, 2019, from 7:30am until 5:45 pm. Summer Nest will be closed July 4, 2019 in observance of Independence Day. Cost: $50.00 registration fee (due at registration) $100.00 supply fee (due at registration) $45.00 per day drop-in fee (no half or partial days) Tuition: $1,175.00 in full 2 payments; 1st payment May 15th ($587.50) 2nd payment June 15th ($587.50) Location: Summer Nest is located at the East Campus located behind Pinelake Church. (6073 Highway 25) Late Fees: Summer Nest closes at 5:45. After 5:45 p.m., a late fee will be assessed. The fee will be $15 for every 15 minutes the parent is late. All late fees will be billed through your FACTS account and payable within 15 days. This is for emergencies and/or special circumstances beyond your control. What to bring: Send a lunch and drink each day. Please write your child’s name on his or her lunch box. We will provide a morning and afternoon snack. We do not: refrigerate food for children, provide eating utensils, or microwave food. Please label everything with your child’s name. What not to bring: Hand held electronic games, personal toys, cell phones, iPads, iPods, etc. are not allowed in Summer Nest. Allergies and EpiPens: If your child has a food allergy, please provide a snack for your child-we are not a peanut, tree nut, or gluten free environment. If your child has an allergy of any kind requiring an EpiPen-we must have an EpiPen for your child in the office. Sunscreen: Please apply sunscreen to your child before bringing them to Summer Nest. Policies: All participants are expected to follow Hartfield’s standards for speech, attitude and actions. Should any issue arise, parents will be called in order that we may partner together in the training and equipping of the child. Should necessary improvements not be made, the child will not be permitted to participate in Summer Nest. Attire: Students should come in play clothes suitable for active play. Girls must wear modesty shorts under dresses and no spaghetti strap tops. Tennis shoes or hartfield.org | 601.829.4599 sandals should be closed toe and have backs. Flip flops will not be allowed.


K3-K4 students: Your child must be fully potty-trained to attend Summer Nest. Please pack 2 sets of extra clothes in their bag in case of an accident. Also, please bring a nap mat and blanket for nap time. 1st-5th grade: Please bring Reading Material. We will read for 30 minutes every day. Drop-off: Doors will open at 7:30 and you are welcome to walk your child in the front door. Please park in the parking lot across the street and walk over. If you would like to drop your child off without getting out of the car, morning carpool will be from 7:30-7:45 on the right side of the building as you are facing the building. Pickup: You can pickup your child from Summer Nest at any time. Any child picked up after 1:00 may not return that day. Please come to the front door and push the button and the receptionist will buzz you in. You will need to sign out at the desk and we will have your child come to the office to be dismissed. There will not be an afternoon carpool. Transportation to west campus summer camps: If your child is registered for a camp at the west campus, transportation will be provided. An off campus form must be filled out prior to the camp in order for transportation to be provided. Please let the Director know what camp your child will be attending. Fill out the off campus form and turn it in to the Director before the first day of camp. If we do not have a signed form from the hartfield.org parents, we cannot provide transportation.| 601.829.4599


Daily Schedule: 7:30 Doors open (students have movie time in the MPR) 8:00 Classroom time 9:00 Morning snack 9:30 Morning Rotations (playground, art /science, bible, fitness/music, story time) 11:30 Wash up for lunch 11:45 Lunch 12:45 K3-K4 (12:45-2:00 naptime) 2:00-3:00 movie time/free play time in classroom 12:45 K5 (12:45-1:15 rest time) 1:15-3:00 Rotations-movie time/free play in classroom 12:45 1st-5th (12:45-3:00 Rotations-reading time, playground, tech time, movie time) 3:00 Afternoon snack 3:30 Playground or inside play (3:30 until pickup) Special Activities: Wednesday-Wacky Wednesday! We will have themed-based dress up days every Wednesday. Check the calendar for details. Friday-Water Day! Bring a modest bathing suit (no tummies showing for girls) towels, sunscreen, and flip flops – only to be worn during the water part of the day. Calendar: Calendar for June is attached to the printed copy. You will receive the June calendar by Monday, June 3rd You will receive the July Calendar by Monday, July 1st.
