Crèmefraicheisthebiggerbrothertosourcream.It’sastapleinprofessionalkitchens& homesacrossEurope.It’sfavoredforitshigherfatcontent itwon’tcurdlelikesourcream whenheatisapplied.It’slesstangy&richerthansourcream.Althoughnotreadilyavailable,it iseasytomakeathomewithjusttwoingredients.Useitanywhereinplaceofsourcream.It’s greatinabakedpotatoorevenspoonedoverfreshberries.

DIRECTIONS

In a saucepan, mix 1 tbsp. buttermilk into 1 cup heavy cream. Gently heat the mixture until it is slightly warm, then transfer the warmed mixture into a glass bowl. Cover the bowl with a clean dishcloth & let it stand at room temperature for 24 hours. Stir & refrigerate until chilled. The crème fraîche is ready to eat or can be stored covered for up to two weeks

We started our weed prevention and starter fertilizer application across the golf course this past Monday and will be finished early next week. This will provide protection from summer weeds along with giving the turfgrass a kick-start as we get into the growing season.

Construction of the new golf cart storage building started on Wednesday. Kocurek Land Improvement (KLI) is forming the subgrade this week and will bring in select fill while hauling away the stockpile of excess material from the excavation. This process will be finished by next week.
