2/General Manager's Letter Members: The fall cooldown is finally here. Please check all upcoming events ... from the Club Life Classic where we’re showing the Club to prospective Members to the Fall Festival coming up in a few weeks ... as well as the Tennis, Golf events coming up.

Also a friendly reminder that a Member must be present for their guest to come to the Club for a drink in the Pub, dinner in the Grill or to use Athletics. We love when you want to bring a guest to the Club, we just need to make sure they are accompanied by a Member.

Quick preserved lemons INGREDIENTS 4 lemons 3 tbsp. fresh lemon juice 1 tbsp.kosher salt 3 tbsp. sugar

DIRECTIONS These are a great addition to any culinary arsenal.

Originating in Northern Africa & Morocco, preserved lemons are a quick way to add dimension to salad dressings, marinades, stews & potatoes. Preparing them traditionally takes three-tofour weeks. The cured rind can be chopped raw or used at the end of cooking. The pulp can also flavor stews & dressings. But with the quick method, you can have similar results in one day.

To prepare them, rinse the lemons in hot water to

remove any waxy coating. Dry them & cut them in half from blossom end to stem. Cut a small V-shape in the middle of each half to remove as many seeds as possible. Slice the lemons thinly crosswise. Combine them with salt, sugar & lemon juice. Place into a non-reactive container, submerging completely. A layer of plastic wrap on top will help. Label & date container. Leave out at room temperature for 24-48 hours. Leave them out for up to 10 days for even better results. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

16/Golf Course UpdatE

SETH SMITH/ GROUNDS SUPERINTENDENT The fall weather seems to have finally arrived and the turfgrass and staff are both enjoying it. With the cooler temperatures, it’s time to overseed the driving range tee and short game practice area, which will be completed this coming Monday. This will provide an actively growing surface throughout the fall, winter and spring to aid in recovery from usage.

Here's how to make online court reservations using our website or app Step 1: Login to the Club's website.

You'll come to the member home page. Put your cursor on tennis and the drop-down menu will appear.

Click on Tennis Reservations.

Step 3: Fill out the form, click on Make Reservation.

Step 2: Go to the day you want, find the court and time you want, then click on it.

On the app: Open our app, click on Tennis Reservations, find your date, court, fill out the info and click on Make Reservations.

You'll get a notification on the app confirming your reservation.
