It's OK to be different

Can you imagine what it would be like if there would be just ONE type of flower in the entire world? How about just ONE type of ice cream flavor? Pretty boring, isn’t it?

In some cases, sameness is boring…but difference is INTERESTING

This is the same for people. We are ALL different: we have things we LIKE or DISLIKE we all have INTERESTS, talents and special QUALITIES , our own DESIRES and FEELINGS. We all have things that we are GOOD AT and things that we are not so good at and we still need to learn or improve And because we are all different, we all learn things at different times or in different ways!

When you are CONFIDENT you can compliment other kids and still FEEL GOOD about yourself

CONFIDENCE doesn’t mean that you are better than everyone else. It means that you are with being YOU and you know that:

Comparisons can be unfair Have you ever wished you looked different or more like someone else? Or wished you could do something better than someone else? Sometimes it’s difficult to feel good about ourselves because we get caught up in comparing ourselves to others. Self-confidence starts with the way you talk to yourself! Another thing that can affect our selfconfidence is the way we talk to ourselves. What

All people talk to themselves, even if they don't realize when they are doing it. What we say to ourselves through our thoughts about ourselves can strengthen or weaken our self-confidence The positive things you say to yourself make you feel GOOD about yourself and it can even encourage you.
