The dazzlingly talented 18-year-old Swedish violinist plays Beethoven’s exciting and epic Kreutzer sonata and Franck’s famous violin masterpiece in a virtuoso programme. The full programme for the Ryedale Festival 2020 will also be announced as part of this concert.
Ema Nikolovska mezzo-soprano Christopher Glynn piano Samuele Telari accordion Presented in association with the Kathleen Ferrier Awards, a singer of rare imagination and expressive range performs a typically adventurous programme, accompanied by piano and accordion in music ranging from one of Bach’s most sublime arias to bitingly satirical songs by Shostakovich and evocative folk music from Spain and the Balkans.
A sparkling afternoon of string trios, setting Viennese masterpieces by Schubert and Beethoven alongside the passion and colour of a littleknown work by Ernő Dohnányi which weaves high art with the folk songs and dances of his native Hungary.
