OUT AND ABOUT AFTER LOCKDOWN We offer a new incentive for those who have been shielding for the past year. We can take you on short journeys (up to 2 hours) to help build your self- confidence and cheer you up. If you would like to use our service, or if you know someone who would, please call us. All our drivers are vaccinated, our buses are sanitised between trips and drivers are separated from passengers by protective screens. We cater for all mobility issues.
OUR VOLUNTEERS TRANSPORT YOU IN THEIR OWN CAR Once enrolled, we will collect you at your door, take you to your destination and wait up to 2 hours before bringing you home. Our drivers have volunteered because they enjoy meeting and helping people. Journeys are charged at just 45p per mile. There is a minimum charge of £4.50.

DIAL & RIDE - THE RYEDALE ROVER This is a new flexible bus service. Ring us if your area needs a bus, and we will be there! We are building the routes as you read this. Services will be at least once a week. Based on demand, we will take people from rural locations into Ryedale towns or popular venues. You will need to book your seat in advance.
WE CAN TRANSPORT YOU IN YOUR OWN WHEELCHAIR We have specially adapted vehicles to take you wherever you need to go. Our biggest vehicle can take up to four wheelchairs and four seated passengers. Ideal for social events or hospital visits. If you live in Ryedale we can help you make your journey.
MINIBUS HIRE We operate a fleet of vehicles with a maximum capacity of 16 seats as well as wheelchair accessible vehicles. You can provide your own driver (D1 qualification & MIDAS accreditation) if you have one or we can provide drivers if required.

MOPED HIRE Wheels 2 Work A moped hire scheme for people who have no transport to get to work or college. If you live in Ryedale, Scarborough, Selby or York all you need is a provisional driving licence. We can help arrange training. We charge a weekly rent for as long as you need the moped. You just pay your rent and for fuel and oil.
MIDAS TRAINING Minibus Driver and Passenger Assistant Training We provide all aspects of minibus driver training to national standards (MiDAS) and Passenger Assistant training including safe use of wheelchair & passenger lifts. Regular classes are also available via teleconferencing.
VOLUNTEER DRIVERS ARE STILL NEEDED Anyone over the age of 17 (no upper ager limit) with a full driving licence and their own vehicle can volunteer. We will sort out DBS for you and you can let us know on a weekly basis whether you have availability. Tax free expenses of 45p per mile (set by HMRC) are paid at the end of each journey.
