Meet Nicole Thomas from BLEACHSUNDAY, the winner of the MOROCCANOIL Creative Styling Competition.

Nicole created a shoot for entry into the prestigious Australian Hair Fashion Awards, shot by multi award-winning photographer & publisher of The Journal, David Mannah. Nicole’s incredible “Be Your Own Muse” collection earned her the a place as finalist in the Queensland Hairdresser of the Year category.

Nicole also won a mentor session with MOROCCANOIL Global Creative Director Antonio Corral Calero, and full mentorship from Haircare Group Creative Director Peter Beckett to shoot her editorial collection.

“Creativity is often described as the muses whispering to us. When I am my own muse, I am empowered. I use the act of creating to know myself better, to grow and push my potential. I found my inspiration authentic to this idea through the 90s grunge attitude. A rebellion to societal norms materialism and conformity to the masses. It was cool to be indifferent have strength and self expression. As a teen living through the third wave of feminism I resonated with this movement and see it as my intuition whispering to my inner artist that influenced my collection."
